Is the football genre overcrowded nowadays? Yes, yes it is. But when I think back to the days of the Amiga, Megadrive and even the PSX, it was much worse back then, there were football games coming out of every corner and each one worse than the next. I think now because FIFA and Pro Evo have took over as the top dogs no-one else even bothers anymore. So what do we have here? Fifa Street 2 . Yes it's the sequel to another Fifa title which this time is about 5 a sides instead of the full game of football.
This is more about tricks and style than it is about scoring more goals than your opponent, it's a good idea but im afraid the novelty wears off pretty quickly.
Graphics - Hard to fault the look of the game as you can pick from any number of famous players from Christano Ronaldo to Wayne Rooney and they all look very like their real life counterpart. The small parks you play in all look really good too.
Gameplay - This isn't technical wizadry but it is a fun game to play, simple at times but great too as you can use the wall to bounce the ball off to beat players just like real life and it's easy to pull off tricks too.
Sound - The sound is provided by some british indie bands and it works well into the background of the game.
Overall - It's not the greatest footy game out there and not even a good reflection of a football game , but it's the best videogame version of 5 a sides you'll ever find
