Advantages: Great Fun and Exciting
Disadvantages: NONE
As a child I can remember the excitement on Christmas Eve of putting out the snacks for Santa, and hanging up one of my dad's socks on the end of my bed. The anticipation of the morning was wonderful. What would Santa leave me in my sock? There was always the usual things a satsuma and a few nuts, and then there were always little toys for example a wind up toy or a special pencil. Only silly things but I was allowed to open these as soon as I woke up. I now do the same for my three-year-old daughter hopefully this year she will be able to understand a little bit more. I'm really excited already for her. A couple of years ago my husband and I couldn't afford to buy each other Christmas presents so we did a stocking each just with silly things in. Hair Gel Socks Shaving Foam etc. This worked well as we still got presents but not the expense of large items and as it was the same for both of us neither of us felt guilty. If you can't afford presents for your loved one give this a go it needn't cost much and it's the thought that counts.
