Another classic Indiana Jones film, The Last Crusade (referring to the Knight's Crusade of the middle ages) one again re-united Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. This time though, we are also introduced to Dr Henry Jones Sr., Indiana's father, who is played by a scene stealing Sean Connery.
This story starts in Arizona years before as we meet a teenage Indiana Jones as a scout who finds men stealing artifacts in the desert. He in turns steals the artifact back and after another wonderful, fast paced opening scene, ends up giving the artifact to the thieves again. Cut to years later, we see Indiana Jones on a boat stealing it back again.
We then move on to Jones as he meets Walter Donovan, who informs him that Jones' father has been kidnapped in search of the Holy Grail. Indiana Jones then sets of to find his father, meeting another romance interest and some old friends along the way.
Finding his father in a castle, he soon learns they have both been betrayed, and we also learn that the relationship between father and son is trained because of his father's obsession with the Holy Grail. However, as they search for it they become closer through a variety of different scenes (including meeting Hitler).
The action doesn't top Raiders of the lost Ark, but the characterization, dialogue and acting between Ford and Connery is truly unstoppable, and they both work exceptionally well together to the point where you really can believe they are father and on. As always the action is fantastic, as are the locations. Easily one of the best films of all time, and almost as good as the first. Yet again, an inspired action adventure.
This film is a classic! When I was a kid I used to watch it all the time and still watch it occasionally now. Directed by George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, still the best in the world, this film was definitely directed well and has a cast of well known and popular actors including: Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones(also Star Wars) and many others. If you watch this film and like it then you should also watch, Indiana Jones and the temple of doom and Indiana Jones: The raiders of the lost ark.
