Lunar 2 is a fantastic role playing game for the playstation that is highly addictive. I have found myself wasting way hours and hours playing this and have been glued to my seat for long periods.
When a role playing game sequel comes out such as this one it's always touch and go as to whether it will be good or not. This one is a great sequel.
In this game you control the character of Hiro who is the hero. He happens to meet a mysterious girl who comes from a star and her name is Lucia. He decides to help her find the almighty goddess Althena. In your journey you meet Zophar who is the main enemy in the game. You find out more about him and even more about Lucia and what her mission is. Together with her you have to take down Zophar who has captured the land of Lunar.
Despite being 2-D graphics this game is visually pleasing. The hero himself is dazzling with bright reds and blues and definately stands out. There is really only one place in the game where hte colours do not stand out and hit you and that's in the dungeons. However, they are still very detailed and look realistic.
There is one thing that happens alot now in role playing games, and that is that you are able to see who you can fight. So you can therefore dodge or attack enemies depending on what you want.
Overall, this is one of the best Role Playing packages I've played. This game is definately worth purchasing if you can get it cheaply enough. It's also fun and will keep you occupied for a fair while and has great replay value.
