As far as gaming manuals go, Sega's Bass Fishing one is about as good as they get, but then I see manuals for sports games a pretty pointless - you're told everything in the game anyway, but here's my very brief opinion on the manual for Sega bass fishing! Firstly - it's fairly thick, but don't worry! There's around 20 pages in the UK language so you won't have to sift through chapters and chapters! The best aspect of the manual is that there are many different European Languages in there including French, German, Italian and Spanish - probably even more. So if you want to brush up on your Spanish or Italian then why not look at these pages! This won't really help you to learn much (you're not likely to be having a conversation about 'press A' to jump' on holiday...)! But this is great if you are a different Nationality - you won't need to buy a whole new game... The print is very clear to read and you'll find out about all the safety precautions etc like for epilepsy et al. This is very important to read. Generally, the main info is about the different controls, game modes and saving system - you won't find any cheats, tips or money in the booklets! It's a non-essential part of gaming, but if you have epilepsy or suffering an illness then you must refer to the manual!
The championship manager instruction manuals seem to be the most useful manuals i have ever read! The cover of the manual is the same cover which is one the front cover of the box which is the same for most games. But one thing which i think this manual is really good about is that the very thing it talks about is the customers health. This is on the inside cover and it goes into great detail about an epilepsy warning, which i think is good because they are actually concerned about there customers! The context of the manual is about the game and how to do certain things. There are two main parts to this manual part 1 and part 2. Part 1 is about the installation, set-up and getting started and this covers the first 17 pages of the manual. Part 2 is about the game in detail telling you everything you need to know to have a successful game. The part of the manual goes through the rest of the pages up to page 64 where it is then taken over by credits and stuff. After looking at the manual in detail i found out that it was actually really helpful and i recommend reading the instruction manuals to every game you get! Have fun playing!
