It looks like the EA Road and Track team have made things better with the release of the 3rd game in the trilogy. Improved graphics including brilliant light sourcing adds to the wonder behind this excellently-executed game. Your opponets AI is much improved and really keeps you on your toes as you're weaving in and out for position. If you want something fast and furious that offers you the chance of driving in a high-speed police chase where they use every trick in the book to drive you off the road, this is your baby.
I bought this game after hearing it was actually good but after playing it fr a while i realised it wasn't. It simply isn't as good as Gran Turismo or Ridge Racer in every category. The graphics are poor and it stutters. The choice of cars is poor compared to Gran Turismo 1 or 2. The choice of tracks is poor compared to all other racing games. The multiplayer mode is boring as is the challenge mode. The only good points i can pull out of it are the police chase mode and you can drive a mercedes f1 car. But NFS 4 has these so get that if any.
In this long anticipated second sequel many things have changed. Firstly the graphics are very good here and with the cars being modelled well it looks very realistic and is a thrill to play as the handling and sense of speed are amazing. You can choose from one of 8 tracks to race on and one of many cars to race in each looking and handling differently. The gameplay is always fast and furious and with lengthy tracks you're going to need patience as well as speed. Great for fans of the first 2 offerings and people new to the series will fall instantly in love with it!
Feel the ultimate rush of flying down the open road in the most exclusive cars on the planet--Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and more. But this is no Sunday drive in the country...not when you're being chased by some of the fastest cops on the roadways.
