Firstly I am going to tell you a bit about the game in general, and then I am going to tell you what I think of the game, after playing it for 2 years. Netropolis is an online game where you need no software to run. It's done on the web, and you can access it on any machine. Lol. Netro is a bit of a strategy game, where you buy land, and build properties using a company, which you have created. When you have created a new company you firstly go into a Town, with a limited amount of money (50k) buy properties from other people or wait till there is some free land. As soon as you have some plots you are able to build on them. Begin a Newbie the properties that you can build will be limited, and not earn that much money. But if you keep on working at the plots of land you will go up HQ levels, which will allow you to build better things for example burger bars, and High street stores. The money you earn from them will allow you to takeover more and more. If taking over properties from people costs you too much of your hard earn cash, then you might consider bombing the property, which will be cheaper. But might make the owner of the land a bit angry. Just think - what would you do if someone come along and bombed all your land and then took it? Once you have 5% of the Towns map, then you hero. Hero means that you have successfully won that Town and it goes in the section in your profile "Heroes" some people have heroed up too 150 places. Once you have completed the Town you then go onto the Cities, which are harder because the People you are playing are bigger and have more land. You have a few different properties that you can build for example Hotels and Cinemas. Cities you need 8% land, then you go onto Capitals, which is even harder. As again the companies and people are a lot bigger and the land they hold is also larger. You need to hold even more land here, which can be quite hard, if you complete the Capital. Then you
can go onto the Heights. The best of the best are there and the amount of land that you can hold is unlimited so if you want you can have 100%, which is a lot of land. The only way to complete the Heights. Is to have 300million in Cash. Onshore. Which will take about 2 months or even more. If you complete this one. You are real good. You can either Play in some other place or quit. Most of the people who I know continue and make the company they have even bigger than what it is. I started playing this game about 2 Years ago, and spent around 12 hours a day, making sure that the land I have it not attacked by other people. Within time, I became one of the biggest underground players in the game, I didn’t want to be known that I was worth large amounts, because I know I would be attack, because some people have a thing for good players. My tactic was to have 30 companies, which was not against the rules, and use some of them to feed my main ones. Which if you think about it is a good idea. By Biggest company was worth 1billion, and the smaller one about half. THIS WAS a great game, but sadly people found holes in the game and used them to their advantage. For example some people use Bombing programs created in Visual Basic to blow up large amounts of the map. Quickly. Seeing all your land blown up within minutes makes you a bit stressed. Just think about all them hours it took to get all the land. NOW cheaters and programs run the game, and people like me just can’t play. And it makes the game impossible. I quit about 3 months ago, because all my companies was hacked and destroyed by someone who did not like a successful person, they was asking for large amounts of money, And I said no. You would do the same. IF the cheaters and programs were kicked off then this would be a great game, but as they have not then I have to give this a really poor rating. Oh this is my first opinion and would be happy to hear from fellow doo
yoo people on how the content has been, And if you have any ideas of improving my opinions. I'm not the greatest writer in the world. Thanks again -==DOTMATRIX==-

This appears to be the jewel in the crown of www.lineone.net, as far as the games they offer go. The motto for the game is, 'Business is a game', and unsurprisingly that very game is Netropolis. Being honest, this game is great for a number of reasons. Firstly though lets talk about the game itself! Getting onto the site, it takes about three minutes to register as you give a company name for yourself, as well as what your alias in the game is (such as Grohlonnavitch which is mine). Once you are registered, you are let loose on the world of Netropolis with £50,000 credit to spend. As you are in the game, you are given a very professional looking interface, which gives you a number of options. You can look at your own company Headquarters, which gives you the chance to get to your bank account, and also commit suicide in case business is bad, as well as other options. You can also look at the last actions that you did as well as look at a smaller version of the map that dominates the screen. On this screen, you are shown many little pictures of shops such as an Internet café or even an arms research laboratory. These all belong to other businessmen/women. If you click on them, you are given the option to leave a message, (derogatory of course), buy the business outright or vandalise the place from a smoke bomb to kids graffitiing the place. I assume you can do more damage with better weapons although I wouldn't know, as I am crap at it! With all this said, the general idea is to create an empire of business's which earn you money, whilst keeping the competition down, (unfairly of course). Just be aware that people put security on their premises so the police (annoyingly) may catch you. The game itself is very addictive for a while, and I also think it is a great idea. Top marks for the creative boffins in fact. Having such an well-implemented game that is on the Internet for free is very good indeed, so a well done to lineone.net th
ere. It has a number of different shops you can purchase, which is interesting as you can make virtual money from your own hard graft, which is rewarding. It also gets the competitive juices flowing, and considering there are many countries with many cities in each for you to plunder, there is a lifetime of playability. So that’s it then. Round up with a nice conclusion after brownnosing the game horribly throughout this opinion. Well no I'll think you'll find. It is flawed in many ways. Firstly, with any new business that is un-established, (cue A-level Business Studies garble), it seems nearly impossible to break into the market full of so many established firms, (in this case the other users). The only way to do so is hard work, which is a real problem. I have only just got flat rate internet access so I have only been able to go on the internet at limited times in the day for not long at all. This means that if you have a session where you have bought up a few businesses and taken the first few months rewards you go away feeling happy. Then the moguls from America come on later and buy up all your businesses, because Americans have had Flat Rate for a lot longer than us here in old Blighty. This means all your hard work is undone. Frustrating and after the first few times of this, tedious it doesn't really offer great fun after the novelty factor has worn off. Another problem is that every time you do something, i.e. buy up a new outlet, it automatically sends you an e-mail, which means that you can accumulate twenty e-mails in one, one-hour session. Obviously the Netropolis webmaster is racking up the bucks off of mailround.com! This is actually very annoying indeed, and is totally unnecessary. It can also be a problem if your computer is not very fast, (like mine), as it can take quite a while for the site to upload the information as there is so much to transfer. Looking at Netropolis, the phrase flawed genius come
s to mind. Enjoyable and rewarding? For a while. Frustrating and tedious? All the time!

Netroplis is a game run by LineOne.net which you play over the web using a normal web browser. The idea is that you start off with a small company, and over time you have to expend your business interests in whatever city or town you are in. You can do this by fair means (buying up land and opening shops etc to earn more money to buy more land) or foul. The foul means include firebombing your opponents shops among other nasty little tricks, all of which can get you into trouble. The game is similar to every other game of it`s ilk - there really is nothing new about it apart from the way you play it. To play you just connect to the website, log in and start playing right away. Nothing confusing about it, just nice simple fun. If you want to play, then just follow this link: http://netropolis.lineone.net

A great Game from Lineone, In this game you create a company and first of all you go into a town, and build proporties and try to make money (not real money) you can blow other people up with destruction bombs *bang* and have such great fun. This game is highly addictive.. Go on give it a try. its free after all Http://Netropolis.lineone.net But it is annoying when you get completely blown up.. To stop this from happening you can create multiple companies to transfer around. Its easy to win a town (get enough cash) but then you move on to cities, and that is very very difficult

prepare to get hooked. This game has it all, money power violence and even a little sex. This is essentially a chat room game that is played online world wide. You get given 50,000 netro dollars and you can chose a town to start. The idea is to buy and sell proprty to maximise your income and purchase more property. However the fun comes witht eh underhand ways that you can also acquire property to gain an income. Even atomic bombs and theft are ok. Then you can chat with your colleagues to seduce or bully them out of money until you become the richest and most powerful in your town, then you go to the next town or city and so on. I love the game and cannot recommend it too highly for all you net freaks to get your juices going.
