How many times do you buy a computer game and after playing it constantly for weeks on end get fed up with it and go out and spend another £30 on yet another game only to end up at the back of your cupboard never to be thought of again?
Well with ntl on-line games you'll never need to pay for another game.
The list of games are endless, from arcade games to t.v show games such as catchphrase and family fortunes to teasers, trivia, puzzles, card games and even bingo.
The arcade games are obviously one player games but your aim is to get the high score and get your name on the high score board.
There are prizes each week for the players with the highest score.
There are 9 arcade games to choose from, one being astro ball,(my favourite) The idea of this game is to break out of the level by hitting the ball with your bat and breaking the blocks on the floor each time your ball hits them, each time you miss the ball you lose a life, you get 4 lives, this game is very addictive and quite hard, I can't seem to get past level 1!!!
The other game I am really can't stop playing is family fortunes, (the old Max Bygraves then Les Dennis T.V show)
You play this game against other people online, 2-8 players can play depending how many are online wanting to play.
You get three rounds of trying to guess the six top answers to the questions given, although sometimes there can only be 3 answers to find.
The object of the game is to get the top answer first to get double points, then guess the remainding answers before you lose all your lives ( you get 3 lives) or before another player clears the board, you get 15 seconds to answer each question so you do have to think fast!!
After 3 rounds you go into the big money round, for this you get asked to name the top answer to each question, you are given 60 seconds to answer them all which isn't too bad.
For each top answer you get 1 entry in the prize draw, you also get 1 entry f
or each player you beat at the end of the game.
There is a high score board with the top 20 high scores of the day, at the end of the week all prize draw entry's go into the draw for a prize of £50, I really don't think there is much chance of winning this considering the amount of people who play. so it's really not worth playing for the money but it's really great fun.
Get your friends to play as well, you never know you might get to play against them if they play online at the same time.
My son was playing this at the same time as me and we got put on the same team,although it was only for one game, then we got put on different teams!! quite amazing really as there are usually about 100 people playing most of the time.So you never know who'll you'll play against.

"UPDATE"
I must tell you all about another game on uproar called "wordox" If you like playing scrabble then you'll love this, it's a word game you play against others online, 2-4 players, unlike scrabble you only get one set of letters which all players play with, each player has their own colour, the idea is to make words and try to pinch other players colours, the players to cover most squares with their own colour scores more points,The best thing about this game is your rating, when you first start you'll get a rating of 1600, The more games you win makes your rating go up, but beware!! if you lose it starts to go down!! When you first start to play it's best to play against players with a lower rating, as these players are obviousley not very good and you've got a better chance of winning,then when you get more advanced play
against players with a higher rating for more of a challenge.
