As good as a console? (PC Games in general)

For many years now I have floated between consoles and computer games, which is the best?.
Well computer games are a source of great frustration for me.
My system is well past it, and most of the new, top quality games are way beyond what my system can handle, I'm sure I am not alone with this problem, you get a PC game home, try and load it and all sorts of problems ensue, and you get to thinking why bother?.
You can take a console game home, stick it in and hey presto you are playing, no problems, this I think is the main reason why PC games will never replace the consoles, the ease of use factor will always kick in, why spend time loading a PC game, and then hoping that it will run ok on your system, and then finding out that it doesn't, after all the games are no cheaper than what you pay for console games, and at least you know they will work.
I'm rambling on a bit now, all I am trying to say is why bother with the hassle of PC games when you can get better on a console without any problems.
