Advantages: Brilliant so many add-ons its unbelievable

Disadvantages: The game until you ahve all these add-ons and patches isn`t that addictive

This game was released a couple of years ago now but in my opinion is still the best driving game on the PC.Yes formula 1 games have been released in there hundreds since Sports Car GT was released but I still believe that this game has everything you want in a driving game.

To be honest I had never really been into Sports Car racing until I bought this game.I bought it because I had a new job and having money was burning a hole in my pocket so I found myself wanting a game.Sports Car GT was in the EA classics section and was only £4.99 so I couldn`t resist buying it.How now iam so glad I did.The graphics even in todays caliber are top notch,Circuits are detailed and the cars look very realistic.

Sports Car Racing is very exciting,I had never really considered it to be so before,I always considered it to be racing with cars worth millions of pounds which people can only dream about owning and drivers scared to cause damage to the machines in fear of cost but its not atall.There is plenty of overtaking due to the lack of wings and aerodynamics(F1 take note)and the fact that there are various classes which throw the gauntlet down to the higher powered cars to negotiate backmarkers whilst trying to race.Also the cars make various pit stops through the endurance race with at halfway distance the prospect of a driver change,so its a real team sport and very entertaining to see which team mate is fastest.The game replicates this brilliantly and it always has you thinking tactically on when you should stop and how you are going to keep track position.

I had two arguements about it when I first bought it.One was that the cars involved didn`t include prototypes such as the all conquering Audi R8 this year it included just your GT1,2,3 cars.This has been solved brilliantly though.By visiting sites such as speedsims.com and simracing.com I now have such a range of cars.Here is a list of a few of them

Thanks to all the Sports Car GT "gods" who make these cars it is now a real all round driving game where you can now race nearly any form of racing you want.

The other arguement I had was that due to the fact that the game was developed in
America it featured mostly American circuits.Most of these where not really very exciting circuits,bar Laguna Seca and Mosport Park.I wanted to be racing on F1 circuits and British circuits.
Thanks to tracks converters and track makers we now can race on some of the best tracks in the world including Bathurst,Sepang,Silverstone etc etc.It was really thanks to the development of F1 2000 that these tracks have come about.A track convertor was developed that enabled all the circuits from the 2000 formula 1 season to be converted to SCGT.Now we can race on all the best circuits in the world in near enough any car.

Patches have also been developed at the uspits.com to stop problems such as when you hit the grass you immediatly got pulled towards the barrier.It is really the best game for editing freaks who love just editing games.You can now change practically anything and it really is just brilliant each day brings new cars and tracks and they just keep coming and coming.

Weather when World Sports Cars is released next year it will still be the same is a different story as this game developed by Sportcar freaks is really gonna kick ass.It has everything in it and the graphics and superlative.

For now though for £4.99 you can`t go wrong this really is the best racing game around.Forget GP3,F12000 etc get down to your local store,purchase this and get downloading the add-ons it really is worth it.
