      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Anyone with a Gamecube and a remote interest in Star Wars should own this

Essentially carrying on the legacy that started with Rogue Squadron 3D (or arguably Shadows of the Empire, depending on your perspective) this game is one of the few in recent times to do the marvellous Star Wars universe justice.

The games visuals are immediately very impressive, aping the style of the rendered CGI used in the renovated editions of the original trilogy. As such, the models, characters and 3D settings all look very authentic.

Unlike previous incarnations in the series, this one balances out gameplay a little through a better mission/campaign design. While incorporating some of the running-around style play in Shadows of the Empire, it is largely flight-based, employing a variety of craft.

Particularly notable are the Battle of Endor (very atmospheric) and the Hoth scenario played out from Luke's perspective.
