4th Round

Well I'm only a casual golf fan but even I was really looking forward to watching the final day of this great championship and seeing the guaranteed drama unfold in front on me. There was so much potential for it to be a classic. So many could win it, Monty, Parnevic, Langer, Woosie, Sergio, Lawrie and Ernie were all in with a chance. But what did I get? A total disappointment, granted there were some brilliant performances out there but it was never exciting. I thought there would be at least a three-man play off, but Duval ran away with it. Was the final round all about second place? Every few years a new superstar arrives on the sporting stage and the new phenonema must be this boy Tiger Woods. When all men around him were loosing their heads this young man stayed cool and calm and took the championship by storm. We saw David Duval hacking out of the seventeenth bunker in pursuit of Tiger, but by then the name of Tiger Woods had already been etched onto the Silver Goblet.
