Ron Atkinson, how do I start this little piece, where do I start. The man is a baboon but he has that little thing about him that somehow makes me laugh. Sometimes I don't know what I?m laughing at. Some comments are so stupid I laugh, some are actually rather offensive, I laugh and some just ronninian in style. Ron or big Ron as he's sometimes known is continually a topic of discussion in the playground. I think Ron Atkinson is the best football commentator on TV. He dosen't just talk about the match like every other commentator he drifts away and starts decribing the weather and how things have changed since he was playing. He should be made to commentate on every single game. You should be able to buy a TV with just Ron Atkinson on not only would he commentate on the football he could read the news, become a tv chef, decorate peoples houses and garden, etc. It would be brilliant. 24-hour Ron Atkinson. Ron Atkinson, please, please GO AWAY, FAR, FAR AWAY! You are large of girth, large of jewellery, large of bigotry, prejudice and macho posturing, but oh, so small of mind. I am of the sneaking suspicion that ‘Big Ron’ is employed as a football commentator largely for the reactions he must provoke. Surely he is a joke perpetrated on football fans by some executive at ITV who is probably laughing as we speak. Lets face it...I know...you know and the whole of England now knows that Ron Atkinson is the worst football commentator on our Television screens. He makes some unbelievable mistakes and cock-ups that make you luagh until you're crying! But why do ITV insist on keeping him on?? It must be so difficult for the likes of Clyde Tydesley to work with him and make a comment after he has spoken. You know, I've never quite understood the urge seemingly held by so many to take Ron Atkinson's microphone and shove it in an altogether less conventional commentator's orifice, one that out of which they believe you'd actually get more sense. Sure, Ron talks his fair share of Colemanballs, but he's by no means the worst offender. His partner in ITV infamy, Clive Tylsedsley, surely has to go down as the single most infuriating individual football commentary has given the world. Come back Brian Moore, all is forgiven.
