Advantages: brings a family together and puts you in a Christmassy mood.

Disadvantages: you could suffer if someone is tone deaf

Where may I ask have all the carollers gone?

In Christmasses of old tradition dictated that part of the annual Christmas was to sit around the coalfire/piano or stand at doors of friends and neighbours and sing to the heart's content.

However recently over the last half of the last century most of the normal traditions have disappeared and carol singing is one of them.

Singers used to be in tune and visit around the week or days before Christmas singing complete songs and bringing Joy to the World!

Now we are lucky if we get one decent little caroller who knows above two lines.

In our house it is the normal tradition still to have a sing song and listen to as much Christmas music that we can - without their dad screaming at us!!

keep old traditions alive and bring the Holly and the Ivy into your homes and wish for a White Christmas with your voices too.
