Christmas as everybody was told when they had their nativity play at school, is here to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Now how many people would actually celebrate christmas if that was the reason they were celebrating! I don't think people can remember the real reason for Christmas anymore. Not that I am religious BUT that is supposed to be what Christmas is all about.

Instead all it seems to be is shops starting to sell christmas decorations and cards in the shops as early as August! This is just ridiculous. All year round people struggle to keep a roof over their head and feed themselves and then at this wonderous (haha!) time of the year we are expected to spend hundreds of pounds on gifts and food (that we don't even eat!) on people that we don't even see from year to year!!!!

There are lots of things that everybody need for themselves, that they can;t afford, let alone spending the money on numerous gifts for numerous people that probably don't even really want what you've bought them!!!!!

Children are just getting more and more demanding about what they do and don;t want - I don;t know how a parent copes with giving their children what they expect (because Jimmy down the road got one!!!) apart from going over drawn and getting another credit card to put themselves in debt for the rest of the year.

Celebrate Christmas by all means - the atmosphere in the pubs and clubs at this time is normally great but is there any need to go to such expense?? Then at the end of it all the shops discuss how much profit they made this year compared to last and then decide to hold the annual January Sales!!!!!!!!!!! (by this time I have no money left for the sales anyway!!!).
