People say that the years are getting shorter, and time flies by, but I think this is becuase of the prepartions for christmas that start earler and earlier every year. As even in september a lot of shops are already starting to prepare for the blitz on Christmas.

I love christmas but even I think it has got slighty too much, you turn on kids television and every advert was for some kind of Toys, not one was for sweets or crisps, this has to effect the kids into a mild sense of brainwashing, and put pressure on the parents who have to struglle to find, a talking Buzz Lightyear or what ever.

I can only see that as a bad thing, but I do see good things, I like to see the town change with the christmas lights go up, and the shops, have different display inside their windows, its nice to see. I also never get board of the christmas songs playing in the shops.

Christmas also still has that magic about it, for the children who write their christmas lists, and the excitement of waiting to see what they have got.

Christmas was started with a baby being born in a stable, but it has changed to so much more, but I still like it and its never going to go back to the way it was. But I don't want it to go into a tacky holiday thats full of greed. I like it the way it is now, but we must not forget that not everyone is happy at christmas.
