Advantages: Try and shop around - look for discount codes!!!!

Disadvantages: Do not go mad, and think about the really meaning of Christmas

Just thought I'd share some of my Christmas Bargains with you... as with the credit crunch I think eveyone is trying to get the best prices for many of their family and friends.

We did agree this year between both sides of the family that we would only buy for children and all adults would not bother to buy for eachother...which has definatly helped my bank account.... although I best get a pressie off my hubby as I atleast one one pressie to open !!! hehe!!! although Im sure my children will make me something as they do every year.... Last year I got a salt dough tea light holder from my son and my daughter made me a hand print calendar.... Priceless!!

Write here are my bargains

1. Vertbaudet

At the moment Vertbaudet have a offer where if you spend £20 you can get £15 off, free delivery and a free gift, I always get the bodes from www.hotukdeals.co.uk.There is also a code for £5 off plus free delivery (no minimum spend) so essentially if you choose a top for £5 you get it free.
Check this website out, I have managed to get my nephew, neice, son and daughter some loverly stuff.

2. Debenhams - they have got some great clearance offers on and there is also a free delivery code and a 20% and a 10% offer code on posted on hot uk deals, so again have got some great buys and stocking fillers.

3. Tesco Direct.
I have tonight order a disney princess phone for just over a fiver, a barbie and a game.... it all came up to £20...so i then used a voucher code from hot uk deals for £5 off £20 spend and then also added a sim card which then gives you free delivery.
They have lots of other offers on too on many of their toys.

4. The toy Shop ( the entertainer)

I recently sold a few stuff on ebay and had about 40 quid in my paypal account, so I went onto the toyshop and got some bargains, A baby born doll for 17.50, aelectric guitar and amp for 30.00 and then there was a discount code for 7% off plus free delivery again posted on hot uk deals.co.uk

5. HMV

I have been getting quite a few disney dvds as they are very cheap at the moment, I think I paid 4.99 for Alice in wonderland and a micky mouse xmas special ..... loads of bargains.

6. Nestle Cereal

They have an offer on at the moment when you buy the cereal you can get a childrens dvd for £1 and free postage from play.com.... there is a few to choose from, I purchased Arthur and the Invisibles, Hoodwinked and Bridge to Teribithia

There are many other things that I have done to save money for eg... I collected tokens from Daily Mirror to get the free twelve Lego toys and I'm now collecing the tokens for the twelve free childrens books.... I also keep my eye out for any bargains both by checking www.hotukdeals.co.uk and www.moneysavingexpert.co.uk.

Not sure if this will help anyone.... but with times so hard then there are many things you can do in order to make it easier for yourselves when buying presents....although one thing I have learnt is not to go too mad.... I always worry that my children will not have enough presents to open, and its really really silly as they always have loads from us and family and friends.

When I was younger we did not get half as much as my children do, and I always try and remind them that Christmas is not just about prsents, Its about being with your family, being nice to your fellow man/women/child etc, religion and being thankful for being healthy and happy.

7 1/2 weeks to go...hehe!!

Summary: There is always bargains to be had and you can always make presents also.
