I'm going to sound a bore here on the whole Christmas party thing but I recently read an interesting article on the 'goings on' at Christmas parties.

My belief is that Christmas should be enjoyed by everyone (however commercialised it has become) and it is a good time to sit back and reflect on the past year, family and friends and those loved ones you claim to love so dearly.
For those single people out there this doesn't really apply to you but is worth thinking about.
Apparently 64% of workers who are in a relationship see the Christmas party as a great opprotunity to have a 'quickie' with someone. However exciting and mysterious this could be do these people not think of their loved ones at home waiting for them?
What about on Christmas morning when everyone is full of Christmas spirit, loving and laughing with families, opening presents and telling loved ones how much they feel for each other. So a couple of nights before one of those had a fling with their work collegue with absolutely no consideration for their partner. That to me makes Christmas both unreal, cheap and very fake.
I sound bitter about something don't I?? Well, this HASN'T happened to me so I'm not but the thought that this could happen to so many people this year makes me feel a little sorry. Why can't everyone party, have fun, drink and be merry without using it as an excuse to cheat? I didn't think that's what Christmas was about!
