Advantages: the vast amount of choice

Disadvantages: so retailers can be expensive

Buying clothes for children can be a costly experience, because lets face it all children grow so fast that there only in certain sizes for small periods.
I love buying clothes for my girls as theres such a variety to chose from. But knowing where to find the best bargains can be hard with such a vast array of shops to chose from. So i will list shops what shops i use and why.

~Next~ I love next for children's clothing and wish i could buy all my daughters clothing from there, but the only problem i have is that there are quite expensive. So i tend to use next as a treat for birthdays and special occasions, the clothing quality is excellent and lasts a long time.

~Primark~ I have started using primark now my daughter is getting older and more active, as i think they have a bigger selection for children ages 2 and up wards, but not as big for children under that age, although the quality of the clothing is not brilliant, i pick up tops, trousers, and summer clothes and use them as 'play clothes'. In the winter i stock up on pajama's, and i love the fleecy all in ones, that zip up the front, which are around £3.00 each- perfect for cold winter nights.

~eBay~ im always on ebay looking for new and second hand clothing, as you can get some really good bargains, and because kids grow so fast, most of it, is in great condition, in the past i have picked up next party dresses for 99p, Peppa pig tops for 99p, osk kosh clothes for under £2.00, and next coats and cardigans for under £2.00

~ George @ Asda~ I do my weekly shop at asda and tend to pick up clothing from there clothing range- George, you can get really good outfits for under £10.00, tights are really cheap and so are things like slippers, coats, hats, and scarfs.

~ Charity shops~ two or three years ago i was very skeptical about even stepping foot in a charity shop, because most of the ones around our area, used to be full of junk, but i have recently started using them and have found some great bargains, tops, trousers, skirts, shorts, jackets, all for around 50p each, and there top names as well, like, mothercare, boots, George and next. Somethings can be tat, but if you dig deep you will find plenty of bargains.

~ Mothercare~ I used mothercare a lot, when i was pregnant, i brought a lot of baby clothes from there, some can be cheap but some can be to over priced, the quality however is superb, and the ranges are lovely. As there designs are so original and fresh.

With having two daughters, my second eldest wears what my first eldest can't fit into anymore, because they where born just a year apart, so although i do buy my youngest new clothes i don't have to buy so many. I only tend to buy them clothes when they need them not for the sake of it, as coming up to Christmas, family members buy them different clothes, or they give me vouchers to go and buy clothes for them.

Young children don't care what clothes they are wearing, as all they do is try and make them messy anyway, i try to dress my girls in nice clothes everyday, but if i know we're not going anywhere that day, i will just put them in jogging bottoms and a top.
I always wash the girls clothes separate to other washing, and wash on a 40 degree cycle and use a non-bio detergent so, it doesn't harm there clothes or skin, and i try not to tumble dry that often if helped so it keeps the clothes in shape longer. If they have occured a stain i will use a mild stain remover before washing them, as this normally does the trick.

Summary: children don't care what clothes they have
