We've all done it. Seen all the food and thought "mmmmmmm", and then stuffed ourselves to the point of no return haven't we!? All the lovely christmas puds and custard, roasts and loads of the golden stuff (lager!!) are waiting for us, well they will be in a couple of weeks time, and we have to learn to limit ourselves. Don't we? I'm a keen over-indulger, and my belly goes to show this. Christmas is about sharing and recieving gifts and eating too much. It's a fact of life that when we see food, we eat it. I can honestly say that I am one of the most experienced people in the world to be writing this opinion. I am an expert on eating too much at Christmas. It happens to me every year. I can over indulge on anything at Christmas - it is my time of year to not worry about how much I eat or drink. The reat of the year I do try to be pretty careful and so I do let it all out over the festive season. However much fun this sounds, it can hurt if you over-do it. I've had all kinds of problems as a result of stuffing my face on Christmas day and none of them are pleasant. I have now worked out a little routine which means I can enjoy the evening and ...

Not so long ago I was living in Switzerland and a friend came to visit me for the weekend to do some Christmas shopping and to catch up on water under the bridge. We spent a lovely day wandering around the shops and towards the early evening we got stuck into the beginning of a very boozy night. A drink here, a drink there . . we were chatting away not noticing how drunk we were getting (or not caring!). Hunger struck at about 9 so we dropped the presents off at the flat and headed on out to have a fondue in Geneva's old town.
