... the meat and never leave it. Clever creatures. They don't have to worry about the waistline and wrinkles and other trivial stuff, they just dive in and gorge.... When you get to the Christmas bash, and the food is there, don't think "Oh it looks so nice, but the wife is watching my waistline" just put her out of your head, and enjoy it while you can (the food that is!!) Diet's are for goons and you remember that. You are lovely as you are and it's what is inside that really counts. (If you ...more

We've all done it. Seen all the food and thought "mmmmmmm", and then stuffed ourselves to the point of no return haven't we!? All the lovely christmas puds and custard, roasts and loads of the golden stuff (lager!!) are waiting for us, well they will be in a couple of weeks time, and we have to learn to limit ourselves. Don't we? I'm a keen over-indulger, and my belly goes to show this. Christmas is about sharing and recieving gifts and eating too much. It's a fact of life that when we see food, we eat it. It's like putting some pirhanas in a tank of meat. They will ALWAYS eat the meat and never leave it. ...  Read the complete review

I can honestly say that I am one of the most experienced people in the world to be writing this opinion. I am an expert on eating too much at Christmas. It happens to me every year. I can over indulge on anything at Christmas - it is my time of year to not worry about how much I eat or drink. The reat of the year I do try to be pretty careful and so I do let it all out over the festive season. However much fun this sounds, it can hurt if you over-do it. I've had all kinds of problems as a result of stuffing my face on Christmas day and none of them are pleasant. I have now worked out a little routine which means I can enjoy the evening and ...  Read the complete review

Not so long ago I was living in Switzerland and a friend came to visit me for the weekend to do some Christmas shopping and to catch up on water under the bridge. We spent a lovely day wandering around the shops and towards the early evening we got stuck into the beginning of a very boozy night. A drink here, a drink there . . we were chatting away not noticing how drunk we were getting (or not caring!). Hunger struck at about 9 so we dropped the presents off at the flat and headed on out to have a fondue in Geneva's old town. Having been *forced* by the Maitre D' to have a complimentary aperetif we chose a massive cheese fondue to follow our started ...  Read the complete review

Ok the best way to cope with overindudgence is of course dont over indulge yourself. But to be honest that would be extra specially boring (more boring than watching the queen's speach!). So if you are feeling a little bit bloated and want something to do then try and: 1.Have a thum war with the person sitting next to you. 2.Sing 'Rule Britania' at the top of your voice. 3.Fall asleep (always a great one on xmas day... the old folks seem to have this one down to a tea). 4.Complain that you dont have enough pressies. 5.Eat more untill you burst (not reccomended) 6.Ring up somone random in the phonebook Erm and thats it ...  Read the complete review
