Advantages: Helps everything go down the normal way
Disadvantages: None really, there are disadvantages to over-eating to begin with of course, but we'll try not to think about them.
I can honestly say that I am one of the most experienced people in the world to be writing this opinion. I am an expert on eating too much at Christmas. It happens to me every year. I can over indulge on anything at Christmas - it is my time of year to not worry about how much I eat or drink. The reat of the year I do try to be pretty careful and so I do let it all out over the festive season. However much fun this sounds, it can hurt if you over-do it. I've had all kinds of problems as a result of stuffing my face on Christmas day and none of them are pleasant. I have now worked out a little routine which means I can enjoy the evening and night as much as the day. About 30 minutes after my meal, if I am feeling over-full (I always am) I take two windcheater tablets. These are available over the counter at chemists and are designed to help with digestion of too much rich food. They work by helping you to break down the food in your stomach and pass it in the normal way. They also help by removing any excess gasses in your stomach so that they do not add to the bloating. I have to say that none of this manifests itself in any kind of embarassing fashion. After I have taken two of these, I go for a walk to the park at the bottom of my road. My whole family tend to join me and we wrap up and just stroll around in the fresh air for about 30 minutes. It's a shame if it's raining, but I do try to fit in a walk whatever the weather as it makes me feel much better. After my walk I drink a pint of water quite quickly (not down in one, just in less than 5 minutes). After this little rouitne, which may sound complicated but actually fits is quite nicely with the day anyway, I feel as if I am ready to start again. But I don't. I'm not that bad! Help yourself by giving your body a chance to process everything you have over-indulged on and you will feel fine. I'd recommend this routine to
anyone.
