When Christmas comes around, it means party time. But we all get bored of parties by New Year so we get a bit narked when we havce to go to another one.
well not if you wave a theme to the party.
I have been to about 5 or 6 Theme parties at Christmas so here are my selections for you.

1)Carribean Christmas.
Turn up your heating for this one. Everyone comes to the party dressed in their Swimming costumes!!! Get out all of your holiday gear ( hawaiian shirts, shorts, hats, snorkels, flippers, lilos) and arrange them around your party rooms. Make big bowlsa of punch and get hold of some Steel drum music.
I was lucky enough to go to one of these in a friends house with an indoor pool but it would be more funny without the pool. A bit novel for Christmas as its cold!

2)70's Christmas.
Pester your parents/relatives for all of their old gear and come to the party in your flares and big wigs. I went to a 21st birthday party like this and it always raises a hoot. Most people have the music in their collection and you can make your outfit. This is a real funny party if you get everyone swingin'. These parties have been made real popular with the return of 70's music to the chart and Austin powers on the cinema.

3) Space Party.
Can be really funny. I went to a Christmas party like this last year and it was really eye opening as to the effort some made as it was Christmas. There were plenty of characters from films and a very funny guy dressed as Princess leia from Starwars with a pair of Earmuffs disguised as her hair!

4)Toga Party
Everyone wears a bedsheet. A bit unoriginal and when everyone gets drunk, the sheets get pulled off and everyone gets embarrassed! Only do this if you are brave and expect a lot of people not to join in the fun.

5)Cocktail Party
Get dressed up like Cary Grant or James bond and sip martinis out of cocktail glasses.
I went to a party like this
at My Fiancees sisters house about a year ago for her birthday and we even got hold of a green baize and a roulette wheel. Needs a bit of planning if you want to do this but its worth it. Plus, everyone has a smart suit to wear or a party dress.

6)Vicars and Tarts
The old faithful. Not much igamination needed. Just some of the lingerie your husband will no doubt but you! (see my opinion on lingerie at Christmas to understand what i mean!!)
