I've been backing France to win this tournament from the beginning and on the strength of this display (even though they lost) I still think they will win it. This was probably a rehearsal for the final and I hope it is because I would love to see the first choice French against the first choice Dutch. This match was wonderful. It was an example of what football is all about. Passing, movement, fast attacking play. Almost everything about this game was how it should be. Even the officials were spot on. France's "reserve" team showed just what a great squad they have. I've been backing France to win this tournament from the beginning and on the strength of this display (even though they lost) I still think they will win it. Roger Lemerre made a point indeed in resting his "Bleu" stars...it was a great game although there were not so many expectations in both sides! Holland and France were qualified and should go through the quarter finals easy... Michoud, and Wiltord, the magic duo from Bordeaux were really impressive...not too sure about Lama. Barthez would have stopped this free kick from De Boer, superbe by the way! As for Karembeu, well, quite scary at times, but he could have been worse.
