Premium Review General Comment: I need my Celebrity Big Brother 'Fix' guys... (2566 words)

*Waver* This is a review for Celebrity Big Brother 2009. I had written it out in full in expectation dooyoo would add a new category for CBB 2009, as they do normally with each years normal Big Brother. We have BB 2001-2008 here. But dooyoo won't add it and as I had already reviewed the 2007 CBB and filled the slot I was stuffed so I'm going to put this in this slot because the category is suitably ambiguous and I will leave it up to you guys whether it should be deleted. It's not a case of being lazy and dumping it anywhere.... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - So, after all the furor over Celebrity Big Brother 2007 and those ...  Read the complete review

BRITISH (142 words)

Here we go again. British sports fans starved of any kind of serious success this summer - Euro 2000, Wimbledon, Cricket (?), now we have the Open Golf at St Andrews. Look at the leader board - it has to turn over thre pages before we see someone from this side of the Atlantic or Channel - and he's Irish - Padraig Harrington! What about our 'big white hope' of two opens ago Justin Rose. An Amateur when he had a briliant Open - turned pro, sunk without trace, virtually. He failed to qualify for the Open this year. Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomerie are hanging around at 3 under, but with that man Tiger Woods leading the pack - the clubhouse lead ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review General Comment: OPEN - good value? - i think so. Mobile phones - irritating. (197 words)

I was at the Open in St. Andrews and I have to say it was a brillian £30 worth. Seeing all the players in real life is very inspiring to me as a mediocre golfer, and it is a true day out. I heard a lot of complaints about the ticket price on the day, but I think it was fine. The setting in St. Andrews is fantastic, especcially in the unusually good weather of this year. However, the day was marred by the stupid pricks who would not turn off there mobile phones. There you are, standing on the tee with Tiger Woods avout to drive on front of you, and some arsehole's mobile phone goes off, with a ring on it similar to that on 'trigger happy tv'. This ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The golf was good, unlike the coverage (173 words)
by - written on 31/07/00 (Useful, 15 readings)

I looked forward to the open championship at St.Andrews, on the weeks leading up to the summer holidays. The excitement of Tiger Woods performance, and the battle and ever changing developments in the lead. But I thought the BBC coverage of the golf could have been improved greatly. There were many problems, such as the BBC camera men couldn't half the time, keep track of the ball, and often lost it. But it was the way that the cameramen acting on this that amused me, such as when they had actually lost the ball from view, they attempted to make it look like they did it on purpose. Such as when they did lose the ball, they zoomed the camera out as if they were taking ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review General Comment: Tiger lesson (140 words)
by - written on 27/07/00 (Somewhat useful, 6 readings)

We all have to learn lesson from TigerWoods spectacular achievement especially sportsmen and women.Nobody enjoy the same degree of dominance as Tiger Woods. We can only compare him with the great sportmen like Pele, Maradona. Michael Jordan and MOhamed Ali all who set new starndard in their proffesion. His spectacular achievement is the result of his passion on Golf, hardwork, believing in himself, dieting and great desire to be the best. He is only comparing himself with the very best. I think our sportmen lack one or two of these quality. They have got no great desire to be the very best and set new starndard. For many average seems to be good enough. If any ...  Read the complete review
