Advantages: brilliant day out

Disadvantages: Can be spoilt by others

I was at the Open in St. Andrews and I have to say it was a brillian £30 worth. Seeing all the players in real life is very inspiring to me as a mediocre golfer, and it is a true day out. I heard a lot of complaints about the ticket price on the day, but I think it was fine.
The setting in St. Andrews is fantastic, especcially in the unusually good weather of this year.
However, the day was marred by the stupid pricks who would not turn off there mobile phones. There you are, standing on the tee with Tiger Woods avout to drive on front of you, and some arsehole's mobile phone goes off, with a ring on it similar to that on 'trigger happy tv'. This meant that Tiger had to stop, and most sensible people in the crowd had to sigh in despair. these people cannot be proper golfers if they're more concerned in catching up with fellow idiots on their phones, and they really spoil things for other people. I hope there are some measures in the future to discourage people from taking them to these events.
