During his playing days, Alan Hansen was probably one of the best defenders ever. As an expert pundit he is one of the best around. It's just a shame he always has to argue with Martin O'Neill. When Hansen talks about defending and defensive mistakes, I would listen carefully to what he says. Like the the band staffed by his three children (what do you mean he's not their dad?), Alan Hansen has a habit of getting on my nerves. This has come to a bit of a head now that he's on my screen every night, alongside Martin O'Neill, for the BBC. Why is he getting worse? Well, it's all to do with his point-scoring attitude over the Irishman. Hansen blathers away, not letting him get a word in edgeways, and rubbishing all of his opinions.
