Advantages: Cheap and easy to make and safe for children when supervised.

Disadvantages: Lots of sugar and bit sickly if too much consumed.

The recipe i am going to write is great for childrens christmas parties as an individual treat for children to take home with them afterwards wrapped in a pretty ribbon.

It is mocha cake recipe which is simple to make and needs no baking, but very sugary for teeth as a downside but as christmas is but once a year i think it is a lovely treat.

For this you will need.

5oz of margarine or butter.
2 Tablespoons of Golden Syrup.
3 " " of Icing Sugar.
2 " " of Cocoa Powder
1 Packet of Digestive biscuits.

Method.

Melt the margarine and syrup in medium saucepan. Add Icing Sugar and Cocoa and mix together. Take off heat and add the crushed Digestives. Place into a greased dish and place into the fridge to cool. If want to do quickly then put in freezer for half an hour. Cut when cake is nearly cool to have lovely seperate pieces.

Tip: Put packet of biscuits into a carrier bag and roll with rolling pin this will really save time and effort. This recipe is easy, cheap and fun for the kids. It makes a lovely present from the children to their friends anf family. I hope you enjoy making and tasteing it as much as i did!!
