Advantages: One of the most naturally beautiful places in the country

Disadvantages: The owners have turned it into a tacky and tatty attraction

I am so surpised to see any positive reviews for Lands End on here! As a native Cornish person, it is so sad to see what the people who own this place have turned it into. Being one of the country's top natural attractions, you would imagine that you'd get a high quality place to visit. Of course there has to be some income but you imagine they'd do this in a quality way instead of the crass tatty restaurant/cafe and awful, truly awful, gift shops they have there now. The food in that cafe is amongst the worst I have ever had and they don't cater for babies very well, either, with tatty old highchairs and no space to put them in.

The one saving grace is the Dr Who exhibition they have on at the moment which is really good, but generally the whole place needs a lick of paint and some new attractions to turn it back into a place that people would want to come to again.

Summary: If you are in Cornwall then you have to visit this place but don't expect what you were expecting!
