I went to Leeds 2000 knowing what Limp Bizkit were capable of but little did i know the explosive performance i was going to witness. Swaggering onto the stage in customary red cap Fred Durst enters the fray, closely followed by guitarist Wes Borland in all his war paint glory. The set, the act, the extras, didnt dissapoint. Hits like the aggressive "Break stuff" stirred the surfers into evasive action with literally hundreds flying over the barriers. The loud, brash cover of "Faith" enabled Fred to invite the ladies in the crowd to demonstrate their womanhood onstage before launching into "MI:2 Theme" for all those new fans that they would ...  Read the complete review

With such a strong array of metal bands and good rock bands at Reading 2000, Limp Bizkit had a lot to live up to. Initial impressions as Fred walked on stage was that he was generally nervous. I was stunned to silence when Limp burst into "Blind" by Korn and for a few hopeful moments i though Johnathan Davis was going to make an appearance. The crowd was held in suspense when Blind was cut short after Fred shouted "ARE YOU READY!!". The preliminary warm up didnt end here as Limp then played Bombtracks intro as tribute to the great band of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Crowd pleasing was not a Mission Impossible (179 words)

From the moment Limp Bizkit jumped on stage it was apparent - They know how to party and want every one around them to enjoy themselves as much as they were. Whilst many will know them from the MI2 soundtrack, Limp Bizkit proved there was a lot more to them than one track. They ouzed crowd appeal - inviting and getting sing alongs from even the more subdued in the audience. Their snippets of House of Pain, Rage Against the Machine, Korn and Metallica teased the audience. Their cover of George Michael's Faith went down a storm as did the rather amazing display of millions of tiny shreds of paper blown into the audience assisted by the strong breeze - it was a ...  Read the complete review
