Lineker, GaryNewest Review: ... football. Hmmmm Gary has grown into his role as THE football anchorman. Gone are the cringe worthy autocue squints that affected him early on. He is now confident and brings out the best in the guests who sit with him. Whereas Des Lynam played the uneducated neutral, Gary is a seasoned pro that talks about football with other pros in layman?s terms. Whenever there is a hint of someone getting carried away with jargon he gently brings it back around so we all understand them. He even getting a bit of the old Lynam dry wit. One of the greatest goalscorers of his generation, Gary Lineker will be known to many younger viewers purely as the cheesy, yet very professional presenter of Match of the Day.

Gary Linekar was once the golden good boy of football, but now he seems to have gotten confused. He?s a bad boy for the walkers crisps ads, and the good boy for the BBC?s coverage of football. My son is very proud of the fact that he has beat Gary Linekar..and Gary was extremely complimentary to him about his skill with the cue.. Some "celebrities" tend to ... Read the complete review

Gary Lineker, ex-England striker, formerly of Barcelona, Spurs, Everton, Leicester and Nagoya Grampus Eight (you must know them!). Who would have thought five years ago, with his wooden style, that he would have been able to fill the great man's (Des, of course) boots. Well, like it and lump it - he has. Lineker's injection of a youthful style into the remnants of BBC Sport has seemingly given it a new lease of life. With other pundits, such as Lawrenson and Hansen, Gary Lineker is gradually becoming Britain's "Mr Nice Guy" presenter. Although he doesn't quite match Desmond for coolness, he certainly is getting there. After all you just ... Read the complete review

Althogh he is a has bin at playing football he is a damn good presenter for BBC one in which he presents Match of the day and lately Euro 2000 live matches and highlights. He must be the only football television presenter who actual talks the most sense with out going off on one about nothing, because he is much better than Des Lynam, Alan Hanson and John Motson who all just babble on about nothing for god knows how long. ...
