Advantages: seeing the band in the flesh

I went to my first proper concert when I was 14. I saw ash at London's Astoria and I found it an amazing experience and will never forger it.
The atmosphere at a live gig is unexplainable. I always feel very privileged to be there and it's a great feeling knowing everyone is there for the same reason you are.
Nothing can compare to Live music. I often thought when I was younger that Live music was just a lot of loud noise and didn't ever see the big thrill but once I attended one there was no going back and I regularly attended different ones.
The feeling you get waiting for the band to come on feels very strange, I always have butterflies in my tummy for some reason as if I'm nervous. I have never been able to understand this.
Even though everyone gets very sweaty and half the time you come out of the concert feeling very tired, your legs are acing and you are soaked (with sweat , beer and I hate to imagine what else) you never regret going. Even if I don't really care for the band I have never turned down the opportunity to go to a concert as the atmosphere is great. I only wish I could attend more but after having my children these exiting event have become rarer. I suppose I will just have to wait till they have grown up.
