Newest Review: ... you like curry, I would recommend curry mile- a whole mile of Indian/Asian restaurants in Rusholme! Just catch a 40-something bus down Oxford Road. I totally appreciate the cheaper bus prices here in Manchester. £36 for a month's bus travel is nothing compared to the £60+ I would have paid in Bristol. There are also trams, which I myself have never taken, but look useful and probably quicker than taking a bus. Another good thing is that some shows, e.g. University Challenge are filmed here! What more could you want?! The city even has its own newspaper and TV channel! Visit ASAP!... more

I've just moved to Manchester and totally fallen in love with it! The city is buzzing, and there's always something to do. There are shops everywhere. The Trafford Centre is amazing, I've never seen something so big in my life! Every shop you could wish for is in there, and the restaurants look so, so appealing! If you live closer to the centre, the Arndale is pretty cool too. Lots of shops, restaurants, and a market. I've never been to The Triangle, but that's another shopping centre, and Spinningfields, the business district, is up and coming. Night life is good here too; there's so much choice. All my life i've lived in the country.... until now.... I applied to Manchester University even though i had never visited Manchester, and now i'm here it is so different to living in the country. But It does has both its good and bad aspects. Manchester is a very busy city, with plenty of nightlife and shopping. There is definitly not a lack of choice if you want to go out for a night... ranging from bars and clubs, to bingo and bowling! In the centre there are huge amounts of shops including Selfridges and Harvey Nichols- great for celebrity spotting!
