I've just moved to Manchester and totally fallen in love with it!

The city is buzzing, and there's always something to do. There are shops everywhere. The Trafford Centre is amazing, I've never seen something so big in my life! Every shop you could wish for is in there, and the restaurants look so, so appealing! If you live closer to the centre, the Arndale is pretty cool too. Lots of shops, restaurants, and a market. I've never been to The Triangle, but that's another shopping centre, and Spinningfields, the business district, is up and coming.

Night life is good here too; there's so much choice. Whatever kind of music you like, you will most probably be able to find a night on most nights of the week playing that music.

If you like curry, I would recommend curry mile- a whole mile of Indian/Asian restaurants in Rusholme! Just catch a 40-something bus down Oxford Road.

I totally appreciate the cheaper bus prices here in Manchester. £36 for a month's bus travel is nothing compared to the £60+ I would have paid in Bristol. There are also trams, which I myself have never taken, but look useful and probably quicker than taking a bus.

Another good thing is that some shows, e.g. University Challenge are filmed here!

What more could you want?! The city even has its own newspaper and TV channel! Visit ASAP!
