Newest Review: ... palyers first serve. Bu in the end Hewitt managed to get a grip and narrowly managed to progress. Womans Game Lilia Osterloh bt Arantxa Sanchez Vicario (7-6 7-5) One of the old favorites was knocked out early by another unknown player. Lost in straight sets and rarely put up a fight. Did'nt deserve to go through. Third Round Mens Game Goran Ivenesivic bt Andy Roddick (7-6 7-5 3-6 6-3) Andy Roddicks explosive start to this tournement came to an end when he lost to the crowd favorite Goran. Goran who onlt made it in because of a wild card demolished Roddick with his lethal serve. Greg Rusedski bt Juan Carlos Ferraro (6-1 6-4 6-4) Ru... more

SAMPRAS AND HEWITT OUT (170 words)

Well what a turn up for the books. Sampras went down in five sets to Escude and Hewitt in five also. This surely must be Henmans best ever chance of taking the title and bringing back glory to british tennis. Sampras has not looked himself to me all through this years tournament and for Hewitt its just to soon. The only threat to Henmans dream i believe is the mighty Agassi. Although as i right this Henman and Martin are a set a piece and its close. Agassi is playing the best tennis i've ever seen him play and looks very strong my moneys still on him. Escude is a good outside bet after knocking both grosjean and Sampras out. Let's ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Matches in general: Federer v's Sampras  (425 words)

(to the tune of anything you like) Sampras lost, sampras lost, sampras lost Thank god! I'm not saying Sampras is not a good player but another final with him winning? Boring wouldn't have been in it. For anyone who watched it was a stunning match. I originally flicked it on and off in the belief that there was no way that a 19-year-old could upset what would have been sampras's 8th win. Federer, a former Wimbledon junior champion, had never played sampras before I think he surprised him Sampras looked stressed and worn out throughout the match. Federer, who is Swiss, has previously reached the last 8 in the french ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Hingis vs. Williams (356 words)

What a game! In my humble opinon, this one was the game of the tournament. It was a case of the power and agression of Venus Williams against the (for want of a better word) more 'traditional' game of Martina Hingis. With Hingis resplendent from the back of the court, consistently catching Williams out with beautifully struck top-spin lobs and Williams a giant at the net, persistently sticking to her plan to come in, and burying some gorgeous volleys. Williams stole the first set, as both players traded booming shots. Williams reminded me of the multi-championship winning Pete Sampras, with the mighty serve, but cleverly mixing in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Matches in general: Agassi v Philippoussis (184 words)

Well, today is the 10th day of the Wimbledon's championships. The men's quarterfinals will start soon. The blockbuster of the day would be the match between booming server Mark Philippoussis against the American Andre Agassi. The grit and determination which Philippoussis showed in his last two matches were just tremendous. Most people would have buckled under such physical and mental strain. But his skill and mental toughness pulled him through. However, the match up with Agassi would be a different proposition. Agassi has lightning reflexes and is widely regarded as the best returner in the world at the moment. Phillippoussis will need to serve really ...  Read the complete review
