I have used mobiles for many years and work in the industry. As far as I am aware, and I read a lot on mobiles generally, there is no direct evidence whatsoever of mobiles being harmful or the RBS's causing harm.

I would be far more converned about electricity pylons than mobiles. These emit huge electromagnetic currents and there is, in my opinion, a far higher chance of this causing damage than radio waves. If you are in any doubt, try this test. Put your car radio onto a mediumwave channel. Drive under an electricity pylon and listen to the interference - it is huge. Then drive by a mobile RBS mast - you won't notice any difference. The electricity pylons are orders of magnitude stronger and are far more common.

If you are worried however, try the following useful steps :-

1. Moderate use and use landlines where possible.
22 Use a Nokia 9110 communicator - it has a perfect hands free facility - users will not know they are on hands free - it is great.
3. If you don't like the 9110 (it is a bit bulky, but VERY functional, try the Nokia 8850. Dinky and functional, but very very low radiation emmission.
4. Use a hands free - although some people believe that these concentrate the radio waves - I am not sure that this is the case.

Overall, don't be too worried - there are lots of other nastier things out there - I am sure that this is just some scaremongering that will pass with time.
