Advantages: Phones are very useful

Disadvantages: Radiation

I think some of the earlier bulky mobile phones were as radioactive as Homer Simpson. Now everyone pretty much has hand set it stands to reason that some will generate symptoms that could be conceived as relating to extensive mobile phone use.
Because the industry has been so vigorous in selling the units and the profits so large you can understand it when they get nervous when radiation is associated.

And in the world of big business its pretty certain that they will use all their power and lobbying skills to make sure any negative publicity is buried or diluted. If there is any liability there with the phone companies you can bet they will make a few quid out of radiation protectors and gimmicks to make them safer.
Im afraid that big business is not concerned about you and me and only about a healthy share price and their bonus that will benefit from that.

The telecommunication’s sector seems to have peaked with the only new phones being bought by the fashion over health conscious. Im playing it safe and only using mine when I really need to. For me there is a big possibilty of cancer clusters popping up in extensive mobile users as we have had a similar worry over our police radios.
Last year the MET moved over to a cheaper longer-range radio for street patrol and officers way from their car.

We heard that they were giving of high rates of radiation because when the signal was sent it had to work hard to find one of the small numbers of transmitters in the UK. The nearer you are to a phone mast when you make a call then the less power you need. Hence the lower radiation risk.
When bobbies are on the street chasing criminals that the last thing on your mind. We have been told to switch to the new radios because it’s purely a cost thing.
Our health like that of mobile customers is probably been put at risk in the pursuit of profits.

We have seen how Mr Blair has buried the story where his
child probably didn’t have the MMR jab, as he like most parents is unsure of its risks. If he knows more than most about the dangers of this multi billion pound industry you can bet we will be the last to know.
The Enron scandal I America has shown how greasing politicians all the way to the top will let you get away with just about anything.

The worst of it is that it’s the youngest kids that are making all those aimless calls and pumping those rads into the lugs. When you put a hand set to your ear and take a call the radiation is the heat you can feel on the side of your face.
The warmer it is on the longer your call then obviously the more you are exposed to. When you are in the dentists and having an x-ray, the nurse will usually step out and be wearing a lead filled uniform.
One weeks extensive mobile use is equivalent to one of those x-rays.Its worth thinking about cutting down don’t you think.

It amazes me how kids can afford to endlessly be on their mobiles.

Anything that stops mindless calls would be a winner in my book!
