Advantages: Provides decision making info
Disadvantages: Lacks personal estimonials
I do believe the experiences of wireless phone useers will be varied. Below, I have revealed my present personal experience At this very moment, my wireless phone is stored in my closet. I've not used any more "minutes" on my wireless account for about a month because, one eveing, after choosing to place the handset to my ear for usage (something I almost never did), instead of employing the earbud microphone, I immediately felt an unusual and fairly strong electrifying sensation beneath my scalp, in the area where the phone antenna was located. I developed a headache within seconds and put the phone down (rarely do I get headaches) The headache continued until the next morning. That experience was startling, to say the least. I haven't used any cellphone since this occurence. . . . I'm aware that others may not be as sensitive. But for me, anything that "scorches my scalp" or gives me a "brain burn" resulting in a headache does not desserve my usage without effective modification. The high number of minutes and the record of non usage with my cell phone service in the past three weeks provider is evidence that that there is a problem. The serc=vice provider has turned a deaf ear to my claim. They will only exchange phones. Actually, irregardless of the handset used, I can generally feel the presence of electromagnetic energy when the phone is in use against my ear. Does anyone else have similar experiences to relate? - 24/04/02 I wasn't sure if this was a joke at first to be honest. Sorry about rating though, perhaps you could have included a little more info. Like, where were you when it happened? In your car? etc? Were you wearing lots of synthetic materials? Nylon etc? and was there any visible change to your head / phone (scorch marks / phone stopped working) It is very bizarre, and much like jill, I'm plagued with getting static shocks off of everything, from light switches to my friends. Anyway, a warm welcome to Dooyoo, to you MotleyYank! |

- 24/04/02 Hello CRM, welcome to dooyoo. Not a thing I'm afraid, and I generally get static shocks at least from almost anything.
