Advantages: Far too many to mention
Disadvantages: NONE !! WHATSOEVER
Christmas has always been a very special time for me and my lovely lady. I personally view Christmas as a time to relax, unwind, and sit back and review the happenings of the year. This usually lasts till April, or May ! I definitely do not want to get into any religious arguments or debates here, but I hope it will suffice to say that, - without the guidance and direction of that humble man -- Jesus, and the supreme sacrifice that he made, to try and put his viewpoint across,-- there would be no Christmas !! Without this guidance from this great man , I shudder to imagine what state this world would have come to, in the past 2000 years. Anyway, as I said, this is not a religious debate, it's simply the way I feel about it, so - included in my top 10 for Christmas are : That more people try to realise, and think about, why we celebrate Christmas, and always will do, --- -- until the END of this world !!. That today's Government has just enough "nouse" to avert another - all out stramash, as was seen in the recent fuel protests. That the people who run the railways get their priority's right, and stop putting cash before lives. That the "lonely" people in the world find someone to cure this endemic problem. That the people in power start to reverse the effects of Global Warming. That dooyoo gets the recognition that it duly deserves - and doubles the payouts :-) That BTinternet finally awakens to the fact that AOL, ntl: , and Telewest are running rings around them and gives us 24/7 net access at a "very" competitive price. That my lovely lady gets me a £10 Cellnet voucher, because that is what she is getting as a Christmas pressy. We both wish you a very merry Christmas and an exceedingly happy New Year. auldmac

- 13/11/00 I agree that people forget what Christ- mas is about. It's not our birthday, it jesus's birthday. I think people forget that. |
|
- 12/11/00 A stramash can be likened to a "debacle" or a "mishmash" or even in some extreme cases - a "fubar".
Al l the best from Glasgow.
