I am a bit old for writing to Father Christmas but, here goes...

1 I would like that magnificent black/red ghost koi which just happens to be swimming around my daughter's pond. I'm sure it'll be too big for her pond soon. It would be much happier in mine. Snigger...

2 There's also a rather splendid black fantail...

3 Oh, and 3 Comets...

4 Okay, I'll be serious - after all, my daughter would kill me... I would like a £100 garden centre voucher to buy some fish.

5 I would like some ear-plugs for when my 6 year old grandson sings his carols out of tune.

6 I would like some bigger ear-plugs for when the dog joins in.

7 I would like peace and quiet this year - all others have been hectic.

8 I would like my wife to change her CD collection - I am sick of Tina Turner.

9 I would like my boss to promise me that I can get up for work at a sensible time - 4.oo am is far too early at my age.

10 I would like to win the christmas lottery so that I can retire comfortably, not worry about the state pension.
