Advantages: Dreams may come true

Disadvantages: It can be disappointing if they dont

My good friends and fellow Dooyoo-ers ANDREWSJK and misslook have recently posted their 10 most wished for Christmas pressies. I felt this subject was also worthy of my attention and so have composed my own list for Santa to work on. I would never to presume my list to be anywhere close to the magnificent desires of the aforesaid writers but it’s nice to get it off my chest (settle down boys!) so here goes...

1. My first wish has to be a big one – a make-over – not just a bit of war-paint you understand – a complete change – new body – from Pauline Quirk (not that there’s anything wrong with looking like her) to Kylie Minogue. Not only that but my personality could do with a nip and tuck here and there too. Not too much to ask is it? Well this is dreamsville isn’t it?

2. My second wish would have to be a new wardrobe of clothes to show off my new slimline figure. Nothing ridiculous – I’m not into ‘Labels’ just a well chosen selection of elegant size 10 garments to replace the 20+ one I wear at the moment – the Scouts can have my old dresses for tents.

3. The third item on my list is for a sizeable win on the lottery – well I have to have the purse to keep the wardrobe going don’t I? Not only that but since my husband of 23 years absconded with his ‘secretart’ (no – that’s not a typing error) I would love to have financial independence so I can sever all ties with the rat.

4. My fourth wish is for all the terrorists in the world to be suddenly overwhelmed by remorse – put down their arms – and discover that love for mankind is what it’s all about. Death and destruction is futile – they will all spend the rest of their lives making amends to the families of those whose loved ones they killed.

5. Wish number five is the same as one of ANDREWSJK's, that is for Dooyoo to wise up
to the talent they have writing for them and pay £5 for every opinion rated useful and £1 for every one read – I know – highly unlikely but it’s my wishes so blah!

6. My sixth wish is for a new computer – one that doesn’t refuse to save anything from the Office 2000 programs – one that doesn’t have the pointer disappear on me – one that shuts down properly so that I don’t have to run ‘scandisk’ ever time I log on – and one that doesn’t lose all of an op. I have just written and put on the clipboard to transfer to Dooyoo, just before I post it. URGH!!!!!!

7. For my seventh wish I would like my daughter to be delivered of a healthy baby girl at the end of this month. She is so frightened and although I will be with her all the way – I can’t take away the pain and fear. Also for Katy I wish she and the love of her life – Colin, could sort themselves out and accept that they were made for each other. Never were there 2 people so obviously in love with each other – they are just both afraid to acknowledge it.

8. Number eight is a tough one – spiritual enlightenment. I would dearly love to have more knowledge of what it’s all about – life that is. I realise that if we knew all the answers we wouldn’t be here but come on – why so much pain and suffering?

9. For my ninth wish I would like to take all my Dooyoo friends on a booze crooze. Not just a channel crossing – maybe the QE2 – world crooze – does The Sun do tokens for that John? (Who by the way, if no-one has noticed, hits the half-century on 8th November).

10. My final wish this Christmas has to be for the hardest thing of all – A DOOYOO CROWN! I just don’t know what I have to do to get one – If it weren’t for the encouragement of Mr Andrews (surely the greatest of Dooyoo writers) I would ha
ve stopped bothering.

So there you have it – all my wishes and dreams – paraded for all to see – I hope all you readers out there get what you wish for this Christmas and that it will be a peaceful time in this troubled world.
