Advantages: lots for me
Disadvantages: only one or two of them actually possible
Why is it that these lists of favourites things and the like, are only meant to be a list of ten when there are so many more you would like to include? Anyway here we go with my wish list for Christmas this year. Dear Santa, I've got so many things on my list I would like for Christmas, but I've managed to whittle it down to just ten, I've been a very good girl this year really I have. Number one on my list has to be that my family are together safe and sound, healthy and happy, not just for Christmas, but for always, can you fix that one for me, please? Number two: It's got be snow, lots of snow, you granted this one for me last year and when it began to snow on Christmas Eve, looking out of the window seeing a blanket of white covering everything and enjoying the silence that the snowfall can bring was truly wonderful. Number Three: I'd like the whole of everyone's Christmas day to go smoothly, without all the usual family bust-ups. I must admit there never seems to be more than the odd petty squabble in queenofsheba's palace, but when I was a little girl it was probably the worst day of the year for row and upsets. Number Four: I'd like the use of a little elf or two, to do all the washing up so that we can all cuddle up by the fire and watch whatever trashy movie is on the TV after pigging out on Christmas lunch. I'll feed them well, don't worry, they'll be well looked after and you can have them back on Boxing Day, I promise. Number Five: I'd like a decent family movie to be on the TV that none of us have seen before please, something Christmassy and funny without being too mushy at the end. Number Six: I can't believe that I've got this far and not asked for any presents as such, no I've just been asking for t
he impossible really haven't I, Santa? Well I would like something that's just for me for a change, so how about a nice weekend at a health spa. Not the kind where you starve to death, but the ones where you can have a good meal and a drink and still get all the spa treatments, facials and stuff. Number Seven: I want the biggest Crème Egg in the world, just for me, plus the ability to eat it all in one go without being sick or putting on weight. Number Eight: A good night's sleep on Christmas Eve, as I'm always too excited to sleep as a rule, I can't wait for the day to begin and then I tire quite easily on the day and feel sleepy by about 8.p.m. Number Nine: Here comes the really greedy one, I'd like to have the only winning lottery ticket in the Super draw so that I could give my kids some security for life. Number Ten: The last on the wish list but like many others I'd like World Peace, if you can achieve that one Santa, then you can throw all the other wishes away except wish number one, that still stands. The health and happiness of my family has to come first for me of course. So, that's my little wish list, I hope you can help me Santa, give my love to all the reindeers, elves and your good lady of course. The sherry, mince pies and carrots for the reindeers will be in the usual place. Lots of Love, Louise. XXXXX
