After the seriousness of my first offering let me distract you from the toy adverts. take off your shoes and pour yourself a drink. the weather may be crisp but it is the least seasonal thing i've witnessed since i saw kylie as santa on top of the pops. ill show you mine if you show me yours.

10. Justin Timberlake

oh warble on about wanting to be a man all you want darlin'. If you were wrapped in a bow at the end of my bed on christmas day you wouldn't need to repeat yourself. before you think my motives and completely shallow and sexual, au contraire. i actually think he's very talented and would make him perform tracks from 'justified' before he performed in any other context. i may force myself to eat a light breakfast using his torso as a plate, but hey it is christmas but once a year.

This year I want granny knickers! you heard me.........

9. To spend the day being a Jane Austen character.

I say character because I can't decide which one. And no Colin firth didn't colour my choice either. In fact i wouldn't mind who I was , I just want the big dresses and the country houses. I know that could apply to a lot of authors but i adore jane austen because of all that heart fluttering uncertainty and scathing politeness, oh gwan gwan gwan then AND the tight breeches.....

Oh yes now that is what I call a selection box........

8. Carrie Bradshaw's wardrobe.

For those of you who don't know who Carrie Bradshaw is, she's the shoe obsessed writer in sex ans the city played by Sarah Jessica Parker tut what do you mean you still don't know? The one with the blonde curly hair and the nose with ''character''. Stop looking so blank. You know the horsey one.

Anyhow i happen to think that SJP and her character CB are gorgeous and that they wear the most fabulous clothes. quirk
y and sexy and a bit mad, just like me (!!) CB is kitsch and my fashion icon. she pulls off a lot of her clothes though because she has a ironing bord stomach, so maybe i should have asked for one of those electonic abdominal toners beforehand.

take that mistletoe down it's been rendered useless......

7. My exes.

A bit of a random wish this one but wouldn't it be great to get all the lovers who broke your heart together in one room (NO!!!!) but this time they are totally realising what a goddess/god they gave up (YES!!!) ahhhhh now call me sick but i think it would be fantastic to record this and watch it when the hormones are raging and you feel like a spotty she-man whale!!

its just what ive always wanted.........

6. a quiet afternoon

With my family past christmas was usually dramatic and draining. At the moment it is now full of kids (not mine!) and endless plates of food (last year for dessert I was made to eat by my aunt who ignores no thanyous, gateaux, meranges, profitteroles, cream cake and trifle how i wasn't sick i don't know). I LOVE my mam and aunt and everyone but i would love to spend a quiet christmas day afternoon, snow outside, fancy hot chocolate in hand watching '' On Moonlight Bay'' and ''By the Light of the Silvery Moon''. Y'see they are two of my all time favourite Doris Day films. Bliss.

5. to value the year that is coming to a close.

I always say I SHOULD have done I COULD have done. This year I have finally got my MSc but when i think of this year all i will think of is the endless jobhunt ive been on since january. well no sorry i'n not doing that anymore, i actually think my life is good and that i am where i need to be right now and if not things will change. sounds like hippie claptrap i know, but this year i'm trading in my depression and self doubt for
an ego and a better fitting bra . so ner. my ego is going to be barbie pink and sparkly so there.

4. Elvis

I want to meet Elvis what more can I say?........ it's a great opening line for when i meet nicolas cage..... y'know something to tell our grandchildren ;)

3. give me a sharp pointy stick ** Buffy spoiler follows

no no not so i can become a potential like in buffy the vampire slayer. im far too old for that plus the wheelchair is an absolute pain in in arse on uneven surfaces like graveyards. But you're quite right it is buffy related *yawn*.

i would like to use this stake to slay Spike.

*GASP* ..''but you lovvvvvvvvvve him Jo'' Yes I did indeed adore William the Bloody and James Marsters is a lovely man but Spike sucks. Oh god i mean what WAS the spike and buffy storyline all about....... it did my head more than the initiative's chip did Spike's . and the last season was simply a case of let's distract the laydees (and some men) from the fact there is no actual storyline and have james take his clothes off and wear increasingly tight trousers.

Slaying spike would also mean that he could not go into the bizaarely fat world of angel. Huzzah.

2. to go for a walk with my mam

all joking aside my mam had a cerebral a
trophy (part of her brain was damaged in a stroke) this year and she has had a list of things wrong with her as long as my arm, but although she is a big contrary pain in the arse, she does try her hardest. she can no longer walk as such, only manage a few steps and so it would be lovely to be able to see her doing some of the things we all take for granted . oh yes and while we're on the subject of my mam, i also wish that she would get the dentist to fit her some false teeth because she looks like a witch ! The upside to this is that it has encouraged me to make my own dentist appointment.

oh i wish it could be christmas every day.......

1. To realise I am loved more often.

Christmas is great for reminding you of what you have and who you share it with and no I don't mean christmas shopping.
