Advantages: potential extras earnings, simple surveys

Disadvantages: most survey's don't guarantee payout

A few months ago I was asked if I would like to join the euro panel, a spin off collaboration incorporating dooyoo members to take part in surveys and what not. What's in it for me I ask, well you get points in exchange that can be collected and then cashed out as euros in your bank account. Sounds good I think so I sign up and do a few questions on sign up to start off my points earning.

Well it's now months later and I have a grand total of 9 points in the bag. Not bad you may think but you have to reach 80 points before you get a payout and comparing that to the time it took to get 9 points...well you get the picture.

So what is the problem here? Well obviously this is a site that gathers consumer research and for that you need companies who need the information. This site stretches across many European countries so there must be a few companies around in need of marketing information.

Whenever a new survey is in the works you are notified. But on the majority of occasions there is no guaranteed payout. Instead in exchange for completing a survey you are entered in a raffle to win a small sum of points. It's doing 5-10 minutes of work on the internet for probably no gain and I'm sure many work to the ethic you don't get something for nothing in this world. Some may say it's the taking part but lets be honest we like a community in a sense like we have on Dooyoo but would many of us care as much if there wasn't incentive-Somehow I doubt it.

If there was a points reward for every survey then I'd take part with no hesitation but if not then I'm sorry you don't get my time which is better spent elsewhere. If this raffle situation is necessary then why not give an indication of a user's odds of winning. This may make it seem more attractive and worth the effort.

I'm all in favour of earning extra money but as it stands it's going to be a long time before I see anything fr
om euro-panel.

I've had a few more surveys from them lately... I guess that I've been luckier than most in managing to accrue 17 points. 80 still seems a long way off though...

I think I have about 7 points and been there for over 6 months I should think now! That's a few years for my 80 points then!
