Please don't read this opinion. I have done it completely WRONG. As you can see by a glance at the comments function. Please don't read it, rate it or comment about it. Since I have got to write within a 75 word limit, I'd just like to say please don't read this. Please please don't. I really don't know what to say, I just want Dooyoo to delete it. I am going to send an email NOW! There done it. I've sent the email stating it to be rubbish!!

It's looks as though we've all been sold out to Europe again! I'm referring to LineOne users here by the way. We weren't asked or even consulted, they have just given us all away to Tiscali, one of Europe's largest internet service providers. They claim that we will all have better all round service now. Everything will be much easier to use and there will be some absolutely wonderful content too. Oh, I forgot, we will also get fast and reliable service. These promises were written in black and white and sent out to LineOne users after the dastardly deed was done! These changes happened on July 26th and its very odd that my troubles with LineOne (as was), started around that time. I have never had cause to complain about the excellent LineOne service and never even had trouble getting online with them. (I had all sorts of troubles with Virgin Net). That was the case until about 10 days ago when I started to get connection problems. It frequently takes more than three tries to connect and it didn't do that before. I often have a connection but no data is moving, either in or out. That's about as much use as an ashtray on a motor bike! When I eventually get a connection that is moving data as it should the connection is dropped after a few minutes and I have to start again. The main changes, my letter said, will be noticed after July 26th. The new improved Tiscali site will be available to view then. This brings lots of benefits, they told me, and I don't have to change a thing. That's where I beg to differ! It looks as though I might indeed have to 'change a thing', or two. I might have to change my ISP. I'm paying for off-peak unmetred access and if I don't get it when I want it I'll certainly consider a change. So, don't believe this letter if you get one. There are a list of promises at the bottom of it: <
br> More powerful search engine Better navigation New download area Improved community and shopping channel New Jobs and music channels. That's all very nice and would be quite interesting, but don't you need an internet connection that sends and receives data to enjoy these facilities?

Although some are daunted at the thought of making hand-made paper, it is actually very easy to do and creates the most delightful effects. Most of the items you will need to create your own paper can be found in the kitchen, and the finished product can be used for card making, wall hangings or decoupage. I even, (after seeing something similar on T.V.) cast one of my own bras with paper pulp, left it to harden and then sprayed it in the most delightful colours and metallic paints. It looks like a work of art! So, not only can you use hand-made paper for the obvious things, you can also use more unorthodox methods of utilising it’s unique qualities. In sheets, it can be used to cover boxes or books and every time you make a piece of your own paper, it is completely unique! When you get into this craft and see the beautiful and unusual effects that can be achieved, you will be completely hooked. So, what do we use to produce our own paper? Torn or shredded photocopying paper is the most common material to pulp, although ANY paper can be used actually. Sometimes I experiment with other types of paper, such as toilet roll, tissue paper or coloured paper. If you live near an office, perhaps you could ask them if you could recycle their shredded paper? If not, then appropriate paper can always be found around the house. To follow are the basic instructions for making your own paper. Afterwards, I will go onto how you can make your paper more delightful by the addition of herbs and other materials. You will need; 8 to 10 sheets of A4 paper Large mixing bowl (or if you are making large amounts, a bucket) Washing up bowl Blender or hand blender Fine gauge wire mesh J cloths A small sponge 2 thick towels 1; Tear the paper into small pieces, or if you are using shredded paper use it as it is. Place in a large bowl and pour over boiling water. Make sure there is plenty of water cove
ring the paper and leave to soak for a few hours, until the water has cooled down. It is not strictly necessary to do this, but it easier for the blender to pulp the paper if you leave it to soak for a while. Blend to a fine pulp with a hand blender, or if you have a tower type blender pour both paper and water into it a bit at a time and blend. 2; Fold your towels and place on a work surface and place a J cloth on top. This is where you will form your sheets of paper. 3; Fill a washing up bowl about a third full of water. Add a few handfuls of the pulp and swish it around. Immerse the wire mesh and pull up out of the water picking up the pulp in the mesh. Let it drain slightly till all the water has run through. 4; Turn the mesh over (pulp side down) on to the J cloth. Using the sponge, soak up the excess water on the wrong back of the mesh by dabbing fairly firmly on the back of the mesh. Then slowly and carefully lift the mesh; the paper should stay on the cloth. You can leave your paper as it is, or you can carry on adding as many layers as needed to make the thickness of paper required. Leave to dry in a warm room. 5; If you are making a pile of sheets, you can lay another J cloth over the paper and layer your paper up like this. When you have about 6-8 layers, you can then place the whole ‘sandwich’ between some heavy books to press. Adding colour and texture with natural materials. If you would like to colour or even texture your paper, without resorting to the artificial colour produced by using tinted paper for your pulp, you can colour it using natural materials. When you have decided what you are going to use to colour and/or texture the paper, you add the material (s) to the water and swirl around just before you immerse your mesh. Obviously the colour will depend on the material used - and the amount, but there are many ways you can add colour or texture; Tea leaves - depe
nding on how many you use, will determine the finished look and feel of your paper. Onion skins - which can either be crumbled up and added to your paper pulp, or boiled to give you coloured ‘juice’ which can be added to your pulp. Berries - blackberries or other berries can be sieved and the resulting liquid added to the water. Beetroot - can give your paper a reddy pink tinge, although quite a lot of the colour will be lost upon evaporation. You can also make exquisite papers for decorating cards or making your own pictures, by trapping things like petals, leaves, doilies etc. between layers of paper. Make a very fine layer by only adding a small amount of pulp to the water. Place your natural materials on the paper and add further layers, entrapping the materials. Another method for adding texture is to trap pieces of string between layers in swirls or lines. Or leave the ends of string showing at the edges of the paper and when it is dry, pull up the string, tearing only the top layer of paper.

I bought this product after visiting the Weleda website in search of essential oils. And what a lovely impulse 'treat' buy it turned out to be, for myself and my one year-old daughter. It is based around pure jojoba and sweet almond oils and uses extract of calendula to further moisturise the skin (I've always known calendula as marigold, but there you go). It contains nothing nasty like artificial colour, preservative or fragrance; it isn't tested on animals; its fresh, sweet smell comes from the pure essential oils of lavender, camomile and orange. Just massaging it into my daughters back leaves my hands sweet smelling, non-sticky, and supple; and it works wonders for her dry skin. Unlike the huge vats of baby lotions supplied by various chemists and chain stores, a little of the Weleda lotion goes a long way. This, considering the price, is a very good thing, but I use at least a third of the quantity since it absorbs and moisturises so well. Even so, it is expensive (at £4.50 for 150ml) - and I certainly wouldn't use it at nappy change! This really is a lovely moisturiser/cleanser, both for babies and adults - and it is ideal for delicate skin. Weleda make other products in the calendula range such as soap, nappy cream and talcum, all of which can be ordered online. Their website also stresses the quality of the extracts and oils involved in the product. I think the quality is self evident - just by using the lotion you can tell that it is made from really natural, balanced ingredients So, if you want to buy a baby a 'treat' that is practical rather than a toy, it is worth trying - even just to confirm that more comes out of Switzerland than cuckoo clocks!

My children love training shoes, they seem to be the in thing at school, these days. I have purchased expensive trainers in the belief that they will last longer than the cheaper ones, but it does not seem to work out that way though... The dearer ones tend to fall apart just as quick. Once again today I went off to replace three pairs of trainers,I thought I would take a look in Woolworths,as I had bought My Daughters previous pair from there. They have got a great range of trainers in stock of all the current well known tv characters. There was "The Tweenies" mostly coloured in white but they have pictures of the tweenies on them, with easy velcro fasteners. "Barbie" again mostly coloured white with pink piping either just with the name Barbie on or a picture of the Doll itself.with a velcro fastener or lace ups. "Action Man" these have been going for a while now,so they must be very popular. They are Black and Beige with bright Orange piping and have the Action Man logo on them they are also available in velcro or lace ups.Sizes available are from 9-2. "Power Puff Girls"these are their new range, much to My Daughters delight.Again White with Pink piping,on the top of the trainer is a nice shiny Blue containing a small picture of the power puff girls.Sizes available from 8-2. "Bob The Builder" now these were sold to My three year old within seconds of entering the store. They are coloured Navy and Royal Blue with Red piping and have pictures along the side of Bob,a hammer and saw.Available in sizes 6-12. All the trainers were a great price of £9.99,thats really good value and when you are buying three pairs like Me its easily affordable. All the trainers are attractivly Designed and very eye catching. One plus point for Me as well was these trainers are made fairly wide, this is good to see as all my children all have broad feet. <
br><br>At least at these prices your younger children can keep up with the trends, currently around. I do have one gripe regarding Girls trainers, they always seem to be made in the colour White, what happens with that shiny clean looking colour? It gets dirty and they quickly become shabby looking. Some nice pale Blues or Pinks would be much better.

Fuller Up During a casual search of the Internet the other day, I stumbled across an interesting website that pulls together a cornucopia of information about dead musicians. The Fuller Up website at: http://elvispelvis.com/fullerup.htm is an extremely informative collection of all you would ever want or need to know about the former greats of the music world. Before you disapprove of such a morbid activity, please give me the opportunity to go into a little more detail and explain the significance of this site. We all know that the lives of our music stars are riddled with all sorts of problems. However, the sheer number of singers and musicians who go to that big concert venue in the sky long before their time is almost incomprehensible. This website is a positive minefield of information, and is indexed in such a way that it is relatively easy to discover the information that will be of interest to you. The main site, Fuller Up, looks at the deaths of music stars from the past, right up to the present day. It is named after the gasoline-swallowing incident that mysteriously claimed the life of US singer Bobby Fuller, of the Bobby Fuller Four. There is also a specific sub-section of the site, named Grim Reaper, that looks solely at recent deaths from the past four or five years, bringing us totally up to date with all the latest news. There are two main searches: - Name (Christian Name or Surname) - Cause of death I discovered that the name search was not 100% accurate and some names that I knew to be on this database were not found via the name search option. However, in most instances the name search was successful, and for those that were not, the master list (sorted in alphabetical order) proved to be a good back up. The site actually recognises that the name search is not working well on another page, but this may have been of more use on the search page i
              tself. Once you have located a particular name, there is usually a picture and a whole host of reports on their death, including the date, reason, and obituaries that have appeared in the media. The main sources used by the site are the New York Times, CNN, All Music Guide, CD Now, Encyclopædia of Popular Music, Music News Wire, The Ultimate Band List and Associated Press. All these sites are useful in their own right, but the Fuller Up pages provide a useful 'one-stop shop' citing the reasons for the demise of some of the most famous, and slightly less famous, names from the music business. The site also provides numerous relevant links, including not surprisingly links to buy the music of these former musicians (courtesy of CD Now). Some technical information, such as Coroners reports, are also available in some cases, although this is more common for the more recent deaths in the Grim Reaper section (1997 - present day). I apologise if bringing such a morbid subject to Dooyoo has offended anyone who has read this opinion, which was never the intention. It is my belief that having this information on one site is extremely useful in keeping a public record of the lives and times of once great performers. Listeners who never knew some of the late great stars of the past will find this site an entertaining and informative read, with a multitude of relevant links. Obviously if this is not your scene, then you should steer clear. However, anyone like myself, who is fascinated by the goings-on in the music business will find Fuller Up to be a fascinating read. {An original Dooyoo opinion © Blackjane 2001}

Hawkins Bazaar (http://www.hawkin.co.uk/) sells the sort of toys and bits and pieces that you used to get in little toy shops and newsagents. The kind that have disapeared now that toys are bought from Argos and Toys R Us. I defy anyone to browse through one of their catalogues and not be tempted to order something. Perhaps its the "Hair Growing Cat Soap", or the "Windscreen-Wiper Spectacles". The quality of stuff in the catalogue is usually OK, the prices are good but its the diversity range that is the best feature. It has stuff you just won't see anywhere else.

Can a cot mobile really be all these things? Well why not! Babies that look half human and half bunny might be cute, but so are little black and white boy and girl dolls in their swimsuits spinning round to Hush Little Baby.... The little dolls look down so that your baby can see their happy little faces but can also be detatched by velcro for play later on. The mechanics play very tunefully without cranking noises and the volume level is fine. The mobile was easy to assemble and fix to the cot. The mobile is well made and good value for money.

I purchased a TiS2 about a year and a half ago as I needed a light racket after injuring a hand in a footballing accident and the TiS2 was one of the lightest rackets around together with the TiS6. Most people in the club were going for the TiS6 which has a larger head and thicker frame. I find the racket easy to use and can handle all types of shots both with power from the base line and delicate touches around the net. I have only just replaced the strings after 1 and a half years. As newer rackets are now coming on the market the TiS2 is now an excellent choice as they can be picked up for near the £100 which is pretty good for a titanium racket.

Well not really gambling, in fact this site gives you £200 per week to gamble with (at the end of each week any money that you have left is removed and you start with a clean £200 again). The site is sponsored by flutter.com (probably hoping that people start a life of real internet gambling, this I would strngly advise against, it is much better to have fun without real risk). You win real money by getting up the leader board and prizes are awarded for the higher up you get. I quite like this site as it allows me to gamble without losing money and still having the chance to win. It is a new site at the moment and therefore not that many are playing (ooops well until this was posted) so the chances are reasonable, all that is required is some skill and a lot of luck. You can bet on football matches, doubles trebles etc. Fantasy games, how many red and yellow cards, in fact the site is quite well laid out with so much to gamble on. Best of all it is free =). You can also bet on Dog races, Horse racing, Rugby, Cricket, Snooker. At the moment you can even bet on the winner of this weekends stars in their eyes or the Miss World contest. Basically you can bet on almost anything (that is provided it shows up on the site). But I think you stand a better chance if you stick with the football, ok some of the odds are quite short, but then that is how it is in real betting. After my first weeks playing I finished in the top 250, not bad for a novice. I would give it 5stars but I will save that until I win.. The highest position I have so far achieved saw me on the leader board, albeit briefly at position 94.

CORRESPONDENT, on BBC 2 on Saturdays around 6.55, deserves a TV Oscar. Each week, a world class correspondent presents a meticulously researched story. Unpleasant facts are not brushed under the carpet. One week we had a programme on the concentration camp at Khiam, run by the Israelis. We had the testimony of an aparently innocent Lebanese lad who had been seized from his home and imprisoned without trial for many years. We had evidence of torture and murder. The highly respected Edward Stourton gave us a calm and balanced account. On 18 November we had a programme about the Intifada. We heard of the two Israeli soldiers grabbed while in Arab territory and brutally murdered. We saw little unarmed Mohammad, in his father's arms, being shot by the Israelis, repeatedly, until he was well and truly dead. We had accounts of the problems of the Palestinians: the corruption of Arafat's men, the Israeli settlements on Arab land, the Israeli tanks on Arab land... Jane Corbin gave an unbiased and fair account, interviewing both sides. There was no attempt to shout or scream one particular point of view. There was no attempt to select only the facts that suited one point of view. There was some explanation of what was going on. Correspondent is the BBC as it should be: high quality, enlightening, respectable....

The Christmas 2000 catalogue of "Oodles" dropped through my letterbox the other day. In my capacity as a Primary School teacher and a parent of a two year old, this catalogue appealed to me, as the catalogue claims to "help children everwhere!" Upon further investigation, the catalogue actually helps the following charities: Mencap, Great Ormond Street NSPCC NcH BBC Children in Need Barnardos. Now, if that isn't enough, the catalogue does actually have some worthwhile gifts to send for. Firstly, they have a range of personalised gifts, from tea towels to Christmas stockings, dressing gowns and pencil cases. The range of educational toys is also very good, at reasonable prices. I also love the range of cuddly toys, which I've never seen available any where else. I am also a fan of traditional wooden toys, though expensive, they provide quality and durability - their range includes Solitaire, Jenga, skittles, marbles, mazes and noughts and crosses. For Christmas, why not order your wrapping paper and cards, whilst helping Children in Need. You can even order a Floppy Bear for a paltry £7.50 instead of the usual £14.99! Orders can be placed by: Post, Telephone, Fax and on the net, at www.charitygifts.com.

"Hurrah! I finally have some speakers!" "TA DAAA!" screamed my computer as Windows came into being. "TAP!" said my computer as I opened Explorer. "TAP" search Yahoo, "TAP" click on site, "TAP" bypass intro…"PING"…new mail has arrived. As I do a lot of research on the web, I realised very quickly that the "ta daaa", "tap", "ping" was soon going to be like water torture to me. Okay - perhaps I'm a little bit sensitive to sound but surely I could use my new found speakers to better advantage? A quick search lead me to Wavplace.com. This is a large site. The design is basic, clear and easy to navigate. The first page is headed 'Computer Voices and Sounds' and below that, there is a long list of possibilities. Instead of TA DAAA my computer now greets me with:- "Welcome to the virtual reality command centre. I am the artificial intelligence that will be assisting you." Cool! Okay - I admit it - I am a sci-fi fan. If you love Star Trek, then you will find the Enterprise computer here. Computers from Total Recall, Event Horizon and Alien can also be found. For those of you who are not sci-fi inclined, there is a vast array of files to choose from. An Index on Page One gives the following categories: - A-Z movies, A-Z television, romantic, military, kids movies, cartoons, sound effects, All in the Family (which I presume is a USA series), email sounds, quotes/lines, request page and a link to Wavplace2. Wavplace2 is where you will find suitable ghoulish sounds for Halloween, horror film lines from John Carpenters Vampires, Psycho, Hellraiser and the like and miscellaneous sounds and screams. I particularly like the list of names - so for example, if you want your computer to say "Hello Mandy", this is the place to come. There is quite a comprehensive list of nam
es here, so most of you should be catered for and there is the request page if you're not. From trying a few, most are lines taken from films or adverts that mention a character name. As a quick note the Sports category tends to concentrate on clips from American sports such as baseball. I didn't find "They think it's all over…". Files are easy to download. Just click on the highlighted link and you will get the option to open from location or save to disc. Each file size is listed so you know how large the file is and roughly how long it will take to download. There is also an option to save to Xdrive (a storage space on the web) if you have it. Take note of where you download your file! To change the sound scheme on your computer (Win95):- Go to Start>Help. Click Index and type in sound scheme. Click display. Help now gives you instructions on how to proceed. You can now play around with all those files you downloaded! Wavplace files can be used in a variety of ways. Firstly they personalise your computer - it literally says something about you! Having a bad day? Download a Fawlty Towers clip to make you smile! My personal favourite right now is when my computer says "You have new mail mistress". Oh Yes :-) If you are into making music then these files can be imported into your work although please remember that they are for your own personal use - not for making a number one hit! There are copyright rules at work here. I sometimes use them as funny quips to attach to emails for friends or to adorn e-greetings. There are also loops here that you can use on your website. All in all I would certainly recommend this site to those of you who love to play around on your computer. My only complaint would be…Whitehorse clears her throat…"WHERE is BUFFY!". The request has been sent!

Been to buy a new car lately? Well when I changed my car a while ago I did the usual things, look in the papers visit my usual garage couldn't find anything. So I went to Empress well it is now Care Craft At Empress. Same horse different Jockey. I hadn't even got throught the door when an annoying little man came up to me and said anything I can help you with. I just looked at him and said well I am looking to buy a car that is why I am here, but could you give me five minutes to get my feet off the pavement and through the door. I only got as far as about the lenght of 10 cars when another guy came up to me, all I wanted to was take a look then if I fancied anything then I would go and talk, but no I was found by the salesmen 5 times in total, all diferent so in the end I was getting cheesed off by the constant presence of them. However I did see a car that I liked and low and behold guess what Yeh I couldn't find a salesman. This place was unbelievable it reallystressed me out and I was so tired of looking for a car that I went home. Why are these people so pushy I know it is their job and they earn commission, but hey guys give us a break we like to look first, you don't buy a house because the agent said it was good do you, you have to have a good look and a wonder by yourselves first. Why don't they have little tables around certain areas so that people could go to them, they would get a better response and probably better sales after all if a customer goes to tem then they are interested and not time waisters think of the time that would be saved by not chasing those people who are just there for the coffee. Put me off the place as I had no time to look for what I really wanted and I felt invaded all the time, I finally got the car I wanted and it was from my local garage. I just told them what I wanted and they went and got it and it is a small business run by two brothers calle
d Sirhowy Garage. Give me the local heros anyday.

Modern properties have insulation already built into the wall cavity to reduce heat loss. With older properties this cavity is empty ultimately leading to higher heating bills. Three years ago we had our cavity wall insulation fitted. Under a goverment grant scheme half the cost was paid for due to energy effeciency. The remaining half worked out at £250, this was for a semi. The job was initially viewed by their surveyor with the installation taking place a couple of weeks later. This took only half a day to do. The fiters drill a series of holes through the brickwork, a foam insulation is then pumped into the void. The holes are covered and the insulation sets.Air bricks are protected to retain the necessary ventilaion under the floor. The work is covered by an independant 20 year guarantee for piece of mind. I'd recommend this to anyone with an older house. We have found that our gas central heating bills have reduced significantly. We used to pay £25 a month, this is now down to £15. The house retains heat much beter now and is more comfortable as a result. Savings of £100 + a year are now there for as long as we own the house.
