Olympics 2000 - GeneralNewest Review: ... Brighton whilst John Curry is selling hiss as……..i better not go there, many have. The Bell brother’s were pretty hopeless to and the fact that they were kin you can see what sort of gene pool we are pulling from. This year though the BBC didn’t show us the tailenders during the big one flying through the netting and foliage so we will never know if our guys made it home. The US forces have more soldiers here on the ground than Afghanistan so im sure they can rouse a rescue party. The British ski team selection for the ski team was a far more straightforward choice. The plane Jane who has done every event this year... more |

Hey it’s the Winter Olympics and Princess Margaret is dead. Two topics that probably haven’t been ringed in your TV guides, and wading through great chunks of copy at each end of the Sundays to avoid. But for me it wasn’t royals going downhill, but a mission to find the time and place of the Olympics blue ribboned on the slopes of Utah. This is the event where the Alpine and Scandinavian guys whiz down the slopes at breathtaking speed whilst the Brits cower in the start booth. Our guys are not good on the white stuff unless they are schooled in the region and are usually sent down the Olympic slopes with a map and a ... Read the complete review

How can we back such a nation that leaves dead babies in the streets? It maybe a big profit market for the large commercial bodies but at what price to the individuals. (if I offend anypersons with this opinion, I sincerely apologise, that is the last thing I am trying to achieve). I do hope for those people affected by the so called 'human rights' will prosper and have a better quality of life, but as the mirror states 'Hitler carried on being Hitler and Moscow tanks carried on obliterating Afghanistan'. Could you imagine what would happen here if the government laced a one-child policy. How would we react ? I don't suppose it ... Read the complete review

In to days day and age women are still being discriminated. This is why The main reasons why women are being discriminated in the Olympics and in sport are because of old myths. Such as women are naturally inferior to men in terms of strength and speed. Therefore, women just can’t be as good at sport as men. This might be true that on a whole man are stronger. But women on average have greater flexibility and weigh less, so women tend to be as or better then men in some sports. Like marathon swimming, very long distance running, gymnastics, synchronized swimming, and horse racing. Stereotyping, like women should stay at home and cook, look after ... Read the complete review

What a difference 4 years has made in our olypic team. I remember watching the Atlata games with a great deal of disapointment when even Ireland got more medals than us. But in last years games our athletes did us proud i think when we only got 10 more medals than 1996. It was absolutely brilliant watching us have an even chance in practically every sport we entered. We still have a long way to go until we can challenge the U.S and Astralia but I think that we will be there soon enough. I would like to say a special thanks to Teven Redgrave who has now won 5 olypic golds and he is also the only athlete to ever do that. The coverage of the games on the t.v was brilliant ... What an olympics Great Britain has just had, what a way to start the 21st century with, the best result since 1920!!!!!!!!!!! All that took part those who won medals and those who won the nationals heart have done our country proud. We all must remember that winning isn't everything!!! The medals winners may have won the hearts of the national, but those who took part help boost the morale of all those sent to Sydney to take part and represent our fine country. We came back with more medals than we could ever have wished for, ONLY ONE Jason quelly won two medals, not bad considering the USA, Australia had over half there medlas won by a handful of sportsman and ...
