Advantages: Very beautiful and could be effective (psychologically)

Disadvantages: Needs to be believed

My young niece suffers with bad dreams, nightmares even. This seems to be quite a common problem with children around five or six years of age.

I am making up a Christmas stocking for Laura but, as a very special present, I have bought her a very beautiful North American dream catcher.

A sort of spiders web shape on a circle with beautiful feathers and beads, the dream catcher is supposed to let good dreams through the holes in the web and catch bad dreams so they do not reach you.

I am hoping that by giving it to Laura and explaining its significance, the dream catcher, hung from her doorway or above her bed, will help take away those bad dreams.

Hi, I bought myself one of these dream catchers because I found myself not sleeping well. It worked!! Since I have had one of these over my bed my only problem is waking up. Ha! Ha! I hope your daughter loves it half as much as I did. Have a brilliant Christmas.
P.S. Buying a nice cuddly toy and telling her that it will keep away nasty dreams also works . It did for my 2 sons .
