Advantages: Great fun and a chance to play with the boys

Disadvantages: can be expensive ....and cold

My hubby say the best present I ever bought him was in an envelope.

No it wasn't a card. It was a racing car!

How did I manage to get it in there? It wasn't by Origami.

In the envelope was an invitation to spend the day at a race track. He had the opportunity to sit in a single seater racing car, and whizz around the track and pretend he was Schumacher. The instructors were very helpful and the car was an experience to drive.

Unfortunately due to the weather conditions(it was snowing) there was no overtaking allowed. There were a lot of frustrated male hormones circling the track as there was no real competition. Only speed without the chase. Under normal weather conditions there is a free practice at the end of the day.

The tuition on these driving days can be top class. One of the instructors on my hubby's day is currently one of the leading drivers in the British touring car championship.

Spectators need to dress up warmly!
