Advantages: eases the pressure of christmas
Disadvantages: none to me
I always remember my mum having a christmas hamper when I was a child from our milkman, I used to love helping her unpack all the groceries as I could then see all the "treats" there were for the christmas period.
The last two years I have had hampers from park, I have found them to be very good, I get regular monthly statements so I can make sure the payments are correct and I also have an account online where I can manage anything to do with my orders. I can even add to them reduce them or change them.
Hampers have changed a little over the years, they have a lot more selection to choose from.
There's the traditional frozen meats, grocery and beer and spirit's hamper, but nowadays there are a choice of various vouchers for high street shops or even activity vouchers, these make a great present for someone who enjoys motorsports or flying and the vouchers start from as little as £10.
The high street vouchers cover nearly every big named store ie woolworths, argos, mothercare, iceland, jjb sports and loads more.
This year it's been a big help what with the credit crunch looming over us, I have recieved a spirits and beer hamper, and also £300 of high street voucher's so thats taken care of my daughter's present's. I also recieved a nice little commission for my order.
The thing I find the best is that when they arrive it feels like the pressure of christmas has been taken away and there's no worries now regarding paying for everything.
I must admit I have never bought gifts from the hamper catalogue as they can work out quite expensive, I find vouchers cheaper.
For me its a godsend and I would recommend park to anyone interested in a hamper.
Summary: Its like recieving another present!!
