Congratualtions to England who im my eyes defeated the Indians today in one of the best all round team performances I have seen for a long time. Finally we can look at our England test cricket team and see they now have so much promise. They today defeated the Indians by 170 runs in an excellent test match. It all started on thursday when England/Nasser Hussain thankfully won the toss and selected to bat first. This was always going to be a huge advantage as the pitch looked like it was going to be more of a bowlers pitch as the week progressed. This didnt really prove to be the point but still turned out to be an excellent choice. We started the first morning ...  Read the complete review

Oh how things can turn around. After the end of the first test match between England and Pakistan there seemed to be a real sense of hope and pride that the home side had undergone a complete renaissance. Our plummett to the bottom of the world rankings just two short years ago was a distant memory. Here was a side on a roll and brimming with deserved confidence. Perhaps, a few brave people whispered at the back, this was a side genuinely capable of taking on the might of Australia to reclaim that most illusive of trophies, The Ashes. Since then we have not won a single game. Worse still matches have been thrown away in the most terrible way. I have suddenly ...  Read the complete review

The Ashes. Coming to a Test ground near you - opens 5th July. "This summer two sides will do battle for the ultimate prize with no quarter asked, nor given; each led by men of unquenchable spirit. "Will good prevail, signalling a new dawn? Or will the world be plunged into darkness once again?" Does that sound like a trailer for a new Hollywood blockbuster? It's bigger than that. Sound a bit much? It's not. No more prevaricating; this is England's best chance to regain the Ashes in the last seven attempts and probably the next few as well. The advancing age of some our stalwarts ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Who’s Fault................. (151 words)

It is very sad people are attacking the umpires over some very difficult decisions. I think the players are mostly to blame for making the game very difficult for the umpires. The reason why umpires have to concentrate more harder on the business end is because of the players. Nowadays we see the fielding side appealing for a OUT when they clearly know that it’s NOT OUT. In the other end we see the batsmen staying put when he CLEARLY knows that he has nicked it or the catch has been taken. The blame should be on the captains and coaches, where they should tell there players to be FAIR and not CHEAT. I believe matters like these should be dealt with first. This will ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Other Test Series...: England v Pakistan - Match Fixing? (93 words)

Maybe it's just me... But it seems strange to me that the issue of match fixing hasn't been brought up yet concerning the lucky win that Pakistan won yesterday. How could 4 'no-balls' not be noticed by the 'world class' umpires? And, how could the television referee not react to the television pictures of the Pakistan wicket-keeper 'scrathing' the ball? It sounds as if this was one MASSIVE coincidence, or there was a little envolope given to the umpires before the last day. Maybe it's just me... ...  Read the complete review
