Wednesday 18th October saw the opening ceremony form Sydney of the 11th Olympic Paralmpics. I watched the 50 minute programme on BBC 2. The programme schedule was the first clue - only 50 minutes. The setting was magnificent and the stadium was packed. This is billed as the biggest and best paralympics so far and the opening ceremony certainly lived up to the media hype.
